It really just hit me, what a sad and beautiful song this is. There's something about J. Mascis' vocal delivery on that chorus that is just so bittersweet, regretful and longing, gives me a lump in the throat, makes me think about life, the past. Love that feeling when a song first really hits you, and you realize that you love it. Sometimes it doesn't happen on the first couple of listens.
Tuan Jim completely agree, especially the lines, "a memory when you were young/remembering a time long gone" being born in the 60's, it hits home.
Shoot, I've seen this before, but my parents are now selling the house I've known for 30 years and this video is pretty good at capturing how the past few months have felt.
1st listen I was absolutely in love with this song an Love the way I feel when I listen to its trully beautiful an euphoric.

I heard for my first time recently, I simply can't stop hearing it in my mind.
Started hearing it in heavy rotation on Stingray's adult alternative channel, can't stop listening to it right now. Been singing it at karaoke, and just learned that's J. Mascis guesting, so from now on I'm going to mash in a bit of "Feel The Pain".

With this song and 'Casual Party' I really really really can't wait to hear the rest of the album, they are back to their best. Just bought my ticket to see them in Melbourne in July as well, second time I've had to fly interstate to see them, well worth the $$ though.
