As an electrician, I know the value of all of those electrical fittings and it’s crazy what people would throw away how much money is just lost and wasted
It's really frustrating to see that all just thrown in the trash. There is 100% no reason for that. Someone billed that out and now it's in a dumpster.
@@michaeldavis8249 Or bill the next job, use what was left and make more money. I know it doesn't seem honest, but the stuff isn't wasted and sent to a landfill. Thank God for people like Mike who saves this disaster.
Mike, you collect so much scrap and people should realize that it’s only the tip of the iceberg the little bit you get helps but the totality of the waste problem in the US is crazy

Just a heads up: I am a retired purchasing manager for a contract electronics manufacturer. I used to buy those blue totes but in conductive anti static black for $20-$30 each. Also keep an eye out for black anti static cardboard totes they go for up to $25 new. You can check the anti static stuff with a multi meter to make sure it's not just painted black
Those specimen trays make good kitty litter trays or watering troughs for potted plants. Love it when you get the "Drive Thru", well next to pick up. Makes it easier for you too, only handle once.
I love watching your videos! I am a 70 yr old country girl ☺️ I started watching you 6 years ago when I had had hip replacement surgery to occupy my mind! N I have watched you ever since then! It amazes me at how much scrap you keep from the landfills! Good job Mike!
i tell you what mike if it was me i would reach out to a couple local electricians and ask them if they would buy that unistrut and all thread off, you might even ask a hvac contractor, small shops are always looking for a deal
Yeah wow. Mike, you always find incredible stuff. Just waste steel. The all thread as others have said just for starters, the cable, nuts and bolts, steel pipe. All worth good $$Ka-ching, just chucked out. 😲
Hey Mike, been watching your old videos. You’re the shiznitz! The GOAT! You deserve an award 🥇 for all the scrap you have saved from the landfill. You’re my hero, man. ❤ Your wife must be so proud of you!
That chicken roaster will be there for a long time. I don't see waste management hauling it away. It's entertaining what you find on your adventures. Thanks.
Mike your such an excellent scrapper and you do an awesome job at it. Keep up the great work on keeping our landfills cleaned. Also keep showing and sharing your thoughts and videos on all your findings. Love watching you every day ❤❤❤❤❤ with lots of love for you and what you do.❤❤❤❤❤❤
I don't know if you've heard but everyone will be upgrading from cat5 to the new standard of cat 6 so you will certainly continue to find cat wire in the dumpsters
Mike , it's good to see you and others recycle and reuse things. The company I worked at for over 40 years throw goods like this away. I started keeping stuff for the last 15 years and made about $600.00 a month by recycling and selling it.👍👍
At 15:05 that microwave part you found has the two very strong round magnets inside it. I pick up microwaves when I find them on the curb just to get those two magnets out. Three or four of those can be mighty handy around the shop. They are very, very strong.

When my dad was base security for NAS Cecil Field in Jacksonville, FL, we used to dumpster dive the parks and BBQ pits on Sundays. I found a military grade winter jacket and a pair of combat boots on a picnic table. I still got the jacket today
Been following you for the past year or so on my other channel. Decided to get into scrapping and started my own channel! You were a big inspiration. Keep up the good work!!
I hope your. All right. I saw on the news there was a big explosion in Houston, I don’t know if you’re close to that. But, I pray all of you and your family are safe.
All I could think when you were throwing all that steel to the ground was "SHHHHHH You're gonna get us BUSTED" LMAO Always good to feel the Vibes you are throwing around, Keep that Awesome content coming Brother.
I love it when you just drop metal and other stuff to the ground with so much noise where you would think someone would come out to look what the hell is happening.,where others are so careful not to make so much noise
I'm aghast at all the good stuff that is found in these dumpsters that is still usable and just ready for scrapping and recycling. I still can't get over the one video Mike did where he recovered 20 or 30 stackable office chairs from a dumpster. Nothing wrong with them, not torn, dirty or damaged. Because of divers like Mike I tell other divers in my area about scrap or anything in dumpsters that they might like. But I can only guess the obscene amounts of stuff still going to landfills across the country that could be saved or recycled. What a waste.
Oh my life...we would sooo not be able to do that in the UK without somebody stopping us for 'recycling' all that precious 'rubbish' ! Keep doing what you're doing 😊
Would it be a stretch to maybe go and talk to a electrical supply company and see if they can give you some more than what it is at the scrapyard on the fittings especially like the bail boxes

The black matt runner with the yellow sides is $40 per foot

Good Monday afternoon mike ,love watching you dumpster dive

That was a fun video to watch bro. Thank you
Why does everything cost so much? Cause you got contractors wasting like CRAZY! As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇

I think you can call yourself a dumpster miner. You save metal from the landfill and put it in cirkulation again. Great work.
