one of my main instruments (along with other Dawesome and Slate & Ash instruments). Novum can do some amazing things, especially when I make 2-6 custom samples for specific slots. I often use it 'Inside VCV rack' for modulations like sample and holds, wavetables, etc. for extra fine controls of the sample slots. When used as the main synth inside a eurorack, like vcv, things can get ubber creative. Hard to not use Dawesome instruments in my work....like 'em a lot. What I really like about Dawesome's instruments, is that if i discover a technique in Novum, for example, I can apply the concept (pretty easily) to one of their other instruments. Last year sometime I had purchased Soma's Lyra 8 synth. Soon after, Dawesome released Kult. Well, I soon found myself doing what Lyra could do on Kult. Sent Lyra right back (too much anyway for its limited capabilities -sampling). After that learned lesson, I now look for vst options before buying hardware instruments... though I still think hardware effects have better 'basic' sound character opposed to most vst effects. For me, efects are starting to sound pretty nice however, and without the 'digital sound' when the effects gain it turned up. kk, i'll shut-up now.
