i was telling all our fans for years with mullen before it even happened that we would be fielding the worst teams you've ever seen at UF soon from Recruiting and it came to pass.. but the reality is now that everyone has been so down on Florida now, Billy has actually put together a roster that looks more like an actual SEC Roster Florida has traditionally had for the first time since like 2019 top to bottom.. They have enough talent to compete with teams, they shouldn't just get bullied and blown away by decent teams like the kentucky and utah games last year anymore, if they do then it will be on the coaching staff...
I've been saying that this is the most talented team since 2018/19 seasons. There is speed and size at WR. Oline has the measurables and depth at OT and IOL. The depth at RB is there with talent. The Defense is 2 deep with quality talent every the only thing holding them back is tackling.
This team will shock people. Been saying it all offseason to my buddy who thinks I'm nuts. Once Mertz announced he was staying, it didn't matter that the two divas (Princely and Trevor) transferred. They weren't team players anyways.... one didn't pass block, one took plays off and neglected proper gap assignment. Now we have a hungry team with the most experienced QB/RB in cfb. Eugene Wilson is the most electric playmaker in cfb. We have several burners at the WR position. Our OL will be a year better and added a few true OTs. The TEs are experienced and committed. On the defensive side, the DL looks like the best it's looked since 2019. The linebackers are capable tacklers. Our secondary play remains to be seen, but hopefully the change in position coach will benefit us. If there's a hole I think it's covering against an elite passing attack that we'll see vs Ole Miss and Texas.
Lagway ain’t red shirting lol and Jaden Baugh might end up as the best RB on the roster by the end of the season. Don’t sleep on Khalil Jackson either.
The changes Napier made at defense and ST staffs might have the biggest impact for the team. The offense had good games but mistakes on those sides of the ball would cancel them out. The Arkansas and Missouri games are the best examples
Don't sleep on Andy Jean or Aiden Mizell either ! Both of them are very capable playmakers ! Andy Jean has that gator in him ! Aiden is a smooth route runner. I am curious if Aiden has gained weight ? Exactly 7 weeks until Miami invades the Swamp ! #GOCANES 🙌
The logo anxiety is insane. The schedule only looks difficult because UF is down so bad under Billy Napier. This roster would go 10-2, 9-3(at worse) under spurrier or urban.
Can't disagree I keep telling people if UF was getting 7-9 wins a year the last three seasons, the schedule would still be insane, but the pessisimism would be a bit lower
@@Freshy_Jones Facts he was going to be UF's third rotational back but got hurt so those touches went to Webb. I must say the emergence of Jadan Baugh makes it tougher for him though
@WalkerSportsLounge I completely agree it most certainly has to translate into wins. I believe it will I think this team can win 7 to 9 games this year before a bowl game
As good as Dj Lagway was in hs and can be at this level, you dont want a true freshman as qb1 in the sec. The best route would be for Dj to have a package or two to get his feet wet and get him ready for 25 while Mertz if all is going well should be qb1. If the o line can take a step forward and the defense can tackle i can see the Gators win 7 to 9 games this year
Thank you for this video! I have not came across a lot of deep dives for us Florida Fans. And I truly appreciate you for posting detailed content like this! Wishing you the best and hope to see more from you. #GoGators
Couple things to note: Crenshaw will likely start at right tackle. Rbs Billy like using a lot of backs and the two freshman Baugh and Daniel’s will be on the field after Webb I think. Also, the guy the left cost is a win last year by staying in bounds. Dbs I think Bridges may play star or corner rather than safety. Turner Castell, Douglas and Thornton will probably all play a lot. Wrs Jackson will compete for a starting spot. QB Mertz is strength. Some scouts are saying he may got top ten in the draft.
@@senz9141 Don’t recall names but it was on local sports radio here in Florida. They said he ‘could’ go top ten. I think it will depend on how he plays this year. A lot can happen between now and then.
Florida needs to disband their football program. That’s the only way they get out of this mess. Fire the coaches, expel the players, tear down the stadium and start prepping for college Basketball season.
I agree with you that its only the final five games that is the problem... Realistically the first seven games are really just big name logos and brands (excluding Samford) Miami is uber-talented but always seem to underachieve A&M and Miss St are in transition with new coaches UCF is a wildcard Kentucky is tough but they always fall apart towards the middle of the season Tennessee is the only tough game of the first seven but Heupel is 1-2 against UF so you can't count out the Gators
Billy isn’t on the hot seat. The only people talking about hot seat are outside Gainesville. We all know how rock bottom the program was when Mullen left
@@user-uc6fz5vv8h either way, he’s not here. Exact phrasing doesn’t matter. What matters is how bad the program was and how much work Napier needed to do

Elijhah badger was a great pick up. I think Florida would be smart to give billy Napier time. Love your videos as always
Not just Badger I think the portal pickups of Pup Howard and Trikweze Bridges can really help on the defensive side
@@WalkerSportsLoungeAlong with Asa Turner, Brandon Christian Dickinson, and even Cormani McClain if he learns to show up for meetings on time….
Too bad Nape will always cost UF at least 2 games per season will his horrible play calling. Go Gators

There’s no way we can go 12-0, because we’re going 15-0.

Thank you, Cam Carrol is slept on HEAVY!!
Not slept on just never got a chance to play because of injury, real ones know he has sec speed and power.

While it has taken some time i think Billy has brought in some top notch talent and will be able to compete with almost anyone this year
Yeah the talent level is trending in the right direction but it has to translate to some wins
