I thought FG duplicate or almost duplicate the FPS .... I use FMF on many games and as long as you do not move quick your frames will be doubled, i wonder what is the limitation on nvidia[? maybe low FPS base and not adding too muck latency?
This indeed drove me crazy with my rtx 4060 and i tried to understand why this is happening. For example like a dragon infinite wealth. High preset dlss quality 48 fps, with fg on its about 54 fps. On balanced its 55 fps and with fg on its 55 fps. With performance its 65 fps and with fg on its 60 fps. 5 fps less. Vram usage goes down as you lower the dlss mode but performance decreases, that doesn't make any sense. Though you go down to ultra performance dlss fg again works well, just not in performance or balanced. Only quality and uktra performance work. If i throw on fsr fg i get double fps, i can force reflex through the Nvidia app and get very stable fps with fsr with acceptable latency. Also you can't use vsync with dlss fg, so im having screen tearing but none with fsr fg. Another weird thing is, if you stay in dlss 4k quality and lower all the settings to the minimum you get about 70 fps and with fg on you get 65 fps. Nothing makes sense.
The 6800 is a crazy GPU seeing them sell for 319.99 new while the 4060 is 279.99 the temp’s staying below 50C basically all the time 16GB vram is amazing and power consumption staying around 200W beating the 4060 by almost double fps and keeping similar efficiency
@@lukovkanedsiits better then the 7700 XT and slightly worse then the 7800 XT and it never really passes 200W i have the GPU and with the XFX model it rarely surpasses 55C in a good airflow case can tel your a nvidia fanboy the rx 6800 is better than the new 7000 cards in price performance and efficiency same with the rx 6600 the non xt cards were great

Was able to snipe a used RX 6800 for $330 back in September and I consistently see them listed for slightly more now. Much cheaper than a 4070. More so in the same price bracket as the 4060 Ti 8gb.
Fyi rx 6800 has the same price as rtx 4060 nowadays in my region. They think just because having more advanced synthetic performance from frame gen and dlss could beat rx 6800 raw power. If you like nvidia buy it when the market brings justice to its price to performance

@@topdavethe 4060 sucks at path tracing and FG sucks on it because of the vram and 3.1 FSR is pretty much on par with DLSS and The 6800 can do raytracing probably just as well as the 4060

@@messibostero12 yes the rx6800 is better but the 3070ti is better at ray tracing( most games don’t have that feature so I wouldn’t care that much)
@@BBB-999 Not even true anymore try running ray tracing in anything but cp 2077, u will find that rt requires more vram than anything else.
Its funny. Rx 6800 1440p's performance is even better than 4060 1080p's performance and just for 100$ more and doubles the VRAM.

The 6700xt with a 5600x is enough to 75 fps+ in 1440p or 6800 is more worth the money?

6700xt for 1440p 75 fps in every game. 6800 for 1440p 144 fps in every competitive game. up to you
those +4 GBs of Vram are juicy too

So when you have RT and upscaling enabled is it the Quality upscaling preset? It wasn't clear when you showed the graphics presets you used.
