@@ilovemickyandhelove1 I think that old saying is too trite to be always true. I just hope Mr. Bergeron is happy in whatever he's doing now. He seems like a good man.
I know Tom Bergeron is a staunch liberal and I'm not, however, I understand his position to keep the show nonpolitical from either side. DWTS made a colossal misjudgment in firing him because he was a major reason so many watched. DWTS will never be as good as it was without Tom Bergeron.
Your comments as someone who doesn't share Mr. Bergeron's political views are much appreciated, and I agree. I _didn't_ know Tom was/is "a staunch liberal," but I too understand and agree with his position to keep the show nonpolitical. _It just made sense. Give people a break from the BS, as he said._ Like you, I thought the producers made a huge misjudgment in letting him go. Besides, _Tyra Banks??_ She was horrible.
I also think Tom was right. And their decision not only to let him go but to replace him with professional narcissist Tyra Banks was baffling. I couldn't watch it anymore. Two cases of poor judgment, in my opinion.
@@westlifefan8480 Right and wrong are often subjective, but I _agree_ wholeheartedly with Tom's view that the show shouldn't remind people of politics. What sense would that make?? It's supposed to _entertain._ I agree that people needed a break -- and still do -- "from that bulls___." Furthermore, it sounds to me like they misled Tom. We're only hearing his side of the story, I get it, but he seemed to be a man of good character and integrity to me. And while I found Mr. Spicer to be surprisingly likable, integrity was a trait _starkly missing_ from _his_ resume. He lied for a living. There is no debating that fact.
No one can take his place I think it's shameful that they did that to him he was the best host that they could have ever had on that show he's the best and he will always be the best host please bring him back he was wonderful
Although I think he's better than any other host to have ever been on the show, he was there to host the show, not to make it about his political point of view. There was nothing in what he said where anyone "promised " to cast certain people or not. They asked his opinion and decided to go in a different direction. He was by no means professional and unbiased in his dealings with Sean Spicer as a cast member.
@janelaughrin5153 in what way did Tom make it about _his political point of view?_ He said he didn't want _any_ politics. Also, what was unprofessional or biased in his dealings with Sean Spicer? I saw no mention of that in this video.
I knew when they cast Spicer that Tom would be leaving the show. I knew because that was also when I stopped watching. DWTS producers had made some questionable decisions in the past with their casting choices that had me questioning their common sense but this cinched it for me personally. I know others that stopped watching then, too. I never liked Tyra as a replacement so I certainly wasn't going to watch with her hosting. She couldn't fill Nick C's shoes on AGT and she was so out of her depth trying to fill Tom's and Erin's shoes. I'm happy to see that Alfonso and Julianne are co-hosting now. Good for them! They're both great at engaging and entertaining audiences. Hope the producers don't lose their minds again anytime soon! I won't be watching, though, because I don't trust, or support, a show that pulls some shady, sketchy BS like they did with Tom. Just my 2¢ keep the change
I wholeheartedly agree with almost everything you said, the only exception being that I'm watching the show again for the first time this season, now that Tyra is gone -- _thank goodness._
It wasn't his sh"ow, he worked for the show. I was a big fan of his till I heard this pompas interview. For him to say I ought to take this season off" - and he says he was lied to? BS - he became a pre madonna - and got his butt fired.
Thumbs up, even though I don't know that Spicer was evil. He was _indisputably_ a professional liar, though. He _had_ to be in order to keep up with the torrent of lies and delusions coming from his emotionally fragile, snowflake, crybaby boss. It was nice to see another side of his personality, but it was still irritating to see his face and -- as Tom Bergeron alluded -- be constantly reminded of politics when I'd rather just be entertained.
So much respect for Tom. Integrity and character are rare these days.
Cant believe he got fired for being a good and logical person!!! Shame on you ABC
Nice guys finish last, unfortunately.

He’s absolutely right. And they should have given him a goodbye series. It wasn’t right what they did.
I never watched another episode of DWTS once Tom left the show. He was a great host and made the show entertaining.
Same here. I really miss Tom so much. He had character, and he had style.
Tom is the reason why I started watching DWTS
DWTS's Network 'effed up royally when they let go of Tom Bergeron. They NEED to bring him back and they know it!
Why they need him? What's special about him? 😂
He's already said he'll never go back.

I felt so bad for him. They had GOT to say something on why they blew up against him “sooner or later”. Betrayed is NEVER the answer folks.
Disobedience isn't betrayal and he's making it a big deal
@@westlifefan8480 He said they agreed with him and then went against their original plan. It was a betrayal.
