  • The benefits of drinking warm lemon water in the morning include digestive health, clearing toxins from the mouth and body, stimulating your agni, acting as a natural laxative, and helping balances your pH levels.
    Lemon = warming
    Lime = cooling
    Boiling water has more benefits because it enriches it with a penetrating quality, which allows purification of the subtle channels within your body and system.
    Alternatives: ginger, fennel or cilantro are also good digestive aids to begin your day with.

    in another video about this topic was said that is preferrable to drink the cup of warm lemon water by a strow because lemon harsh your theet, is that so from what you know?

      Great question!! This is true, lemon and citrus is very hard on our gums. I don't personally use a straw, but I after I drink the lemon water, I drink regular water and swish it thoroughly in my mouth to remove any citrus residue. I rinse 1-3 times after sipping the lemon water. :) Thank you for bringing this up

    I don't think the temperature makes a difference. It's more for taste, but health benefits are just as great whether it's chilled or heated up lemon water.

    Can we drink after the oil pulling? And will there be any harmful effects? I have noticed that, eating any acidic/heat inducing substances will cause me acidity. So, is it fine if I drink this after drinking few sips of water?

      cool beat it’s main function is assisting in stimulating your agni, digestive tract, but perhaps with a cleaner system better sleep will come from it :)

    During the day time should we take warm water or ambient temperature 🌡️?

      if you have more pitta, then room temperature. If you have more vata or kapha, warm is better, but room temp is ok too.:)

      sure. be sure to rinse/swish with regular water afterwards so no acidic residue doesn't settle in your mouth before bed. :)

    does it help with weight loss? i pour water in a cup or it suppose to be more water

      it can assist in weight loss in that it activates our agni (digestive fire), but it will not be the only solution for weight loss, meaning that a healthy diet and lifestyle is needed in addition to this morning tea. :) you can pour water into a cup and drink.

    will concentrated lime/lemon water have the same positive effects?

      Hannah Widmer it will be a lot stronger as it’s less diluted. If you do so, make sure to swish clean water around in your mouth and swallow, this will help remove extra acidity from the citrus that washes through your gums and teeth. Sometimes too much citrus can aggravate the gums, especially if using fluoride free toothpaste 😉
