Getting a stick replacement from IFixit and opening it up to switch the sticks is definitely a way to fix it. But that's only the only way I see it can be fixed. I've switched my stick out and it works fine, but pushing in make the trigger get pressed as well, which is weird. But it's still a problem when joy con sticks always mess up.
I have the same problem, I believe my switch got sat one one time, even though it was in it's case the pressure could've messed the stick up. I would recommend changing the binding front he left joystick click to be the capture button so you can still use that button for games that require it
Bro same thing happened to me when It dropped on the joystick it pressured it and got stuck can’t find a vid for it tho I guess we’re all stuck like this
The answer to your solution is there is a plastic peice that presses onto the button on the little circuit board in the stick is probably misplaced damaged or somehow missing
@@That_Guy189 I had completely forgotten about it and the controllers are not with me at the moment but there is a spring and a white piece the white piece is what controls the clicking so you can run in games the spring makes sure the joystick stays up so you can press it again and again the white piece is missing if you can't press down or the console doesn't recognize it
This happened to me when playing splatoon 3.. I won a hazard 333% wave and got to exited the controller dropped and stopped working lol. Now I can’t use the special buttons which are very important to the game. I’m buying a pro controller though hope you fix ur controller 😋

I was playing Fortnite and the left joystick was not clicking and neither did the ZR button on the right joycon. Do you guys have any suggestions, besides getting new joycons? P.S. My original joycons had stick drift after 3 years + of use and we bought new ones that weren't Nintendo licensed.
Here is how I fixed mine I had this issue for a year I don't have the zr issue but the left joycon trust me pull super hard on the antalog there will be a pop basicly you pressed it down too much it jammed if it doesn't work get new joycons or use a pro controller
for the left joycon I had the same problem so I banged it against my hand to see if it’s jammed and after i did that it went down agian but to sprint in games I’ll test
Bro my joystick broke too man. It was working perfectly and since I had to travel abroad after 4 months I pull out my switch and the joystick is broken! It didn't fall nor it was used in those 4 months but now it's broken?
I have this problem on the right joystick and its really frustrating because the button still sort of works but I have to apply so much pressure it feels like I'm about to break something, I've taken the joycon apart and tried to clean the joystick sensors but it didn't fix the problem and I couldnt see anything visibly wrong, I can actually feel the button being pushed but it doesn't register unless I put all my strength into it for some reason and even then it usually doesn't work
I had the same problem, I just went to my settings then to my controllers and sensors, and changed the button mapping, I know it may be easier said than done for some people, but I changed it so I could crouch in Fortnite
My advice would be to send it for free to Nintendo tell them the problem and they clean it and fix the problem for free. That what I’m going to do since I have the same issue.
I just got my brand new never used animal crossing version switch like 4 days ago and just today it happened where my left joy con stopped clicking. I’ve been searching everywhere on how to fix it but no luck… I just want to be able to play botw, I literally just got it😭
