    Nothing beats this eco boost engine! Just the engine alone is worth the 50 grand in my book! NObody can beat that!

    These look so much better than the new generation models. My dads 2015 Sports interior is already falling apart tho.

      The new ones (2023) look like a grand piano was dropped on the roof. Plus the HUGE touch screen sticking up on the dash and no CD player is very offputting. I don't know what they were thinking but they are ruining all of the vehicles with this nonsense.

    • @_dmfd
      @_dmfd Год назад +1

      @@reesedaniel5835 yea these have gotten progressively worse over the years imo. Even the 2019 I was referencing in my original comment looked better than the newer models. My dad still has his but it’s had so many issues. My car is a 2019 GT Sport & it has the tablet style infotainment that sticks up but I much prefer it over the huge elongated infotainments everyone has switched to these days. Ima be trading in my GT Sport soon & honestly there’s no cars I’m interested in even currently, I’m looking at the A4 Allroad, Stinger GT2, or an RDX if I have to go SUV but I’m really not wanting to go that route

    Great video Cameron, just one suggestion! On vehicles that are equipped with the SmartKey access can you demonstrate it. And also for vehicles that are equipped with remote start can you also demonstrate that. That would be much appreciated!
    Thanks and keep up the great work!

    The 2015 Sport is an incredibly comfortable, fun to drive, steering like a sports car, and FAST (365HP turbo engine = rocket!) ride. Regarding price, who pays the sticker price?!? I got all of the options packages and finally price after tax was $48K. Is the key fob really a criticism when looking at a car? Actually its shape make's it easier to drop into your pocket. And if you're concerned with rear heated seats, that is why you have a remote starter - to pre-heat the car! Heated steering wheel. And for the hot summer, A/C seats! - start the car from your office window and it will be perfect when you get in. If you can afford it, go drive it and get back to this comment page. It's a bad ass car and I don't see many on the road - and if it's your thing, people will come to you and tell how 'sweet your ride' is. Stay warm!!

    For those bitching about the price.. when these were new Ford had absolutely no problem selling them. They're quite popular in my area. Obviously you can save thousands and get a good deal on a preowned. Hey if you cant afford a vehicle like this, well there's always that cheap little used kia to fit in your budget.

    The issue with the explorer sport is the leak on the moon roof , it happen every time it rains. The leather lining on the doors once disconnected can not be reconnected and need to be replaced.

    i feel like when they owned land rover, they took this design for the explorer, and when they sold it, they still had the right to the designs, i cant help but think the next generation will look something like the new discovery sport. that's just me though, i could m most definitely be wrong

    50 grand? The exterior looks nice, but for that kind of money the suv missing some basic features. Glad you mention no heated rear seats. That should of been a no brainer. Are led headlights even an option? I have all those options plus more, but paid about 5 grand less for my Grand Cherokee. Great job!

    • @CameronsCarReviews

      LED Headlights nor LED DRL's are neither an option.

      The 2015 Grande Cherokee isn't as big and doesn't have 3rd row seating. I think the Cherokee is a great vehicle and you have some good points though. LED headlight's are a must now day's. Oh well maybe if the explorer get's a refresh in 2016.

    • @ncholewa11

      The heated seats are an option. Plus, you may have saved 5 Grand but your Jeep wont do 0-60 anywhere near the Xsports 5.9sec. Also, Jeep has been at the bottom of JD Power and Associates list for reliability and has been named one of the most unreliable company for many years. I would rather pay the additional 5k for the speed, comfort and quality! Just, Ricky!

      I bought the Ford Explorer 2015 (Limited version) with all the Ella and whistles.
      Mind you that it's very top trim level is $50K+. I believe the base model starts at $37K.
      This SUV is better then the Jeep (in terms of features). I know... I compared both before deciding.
      This SUV with the saftey package as I got, can break by itself if it sees a collision happening, and can steer itself into the lane when you're drifting off with out signalling, and can parallel park itself.
      And much, much, more.
      Worth very penny, bud. Trust me.
      But I guess it comes down to taste. So go with ever you wish.

    The new redesigned 2016 Explorer will be in showrooms by Labor Day. Prices will be slashed on 2015's by the middle of summer. I'd still check out a 2015 Durango Citadel against this Sport model. Much better value. This is the last model year for the Durango if you can live with that.

    Just think about it if you are buying this car for a family hauler and carrying kids then this is a great car. There is enough leg room for kids, I mean they don't need the most advanced technology available in a car. The third row is roomy I could fit back there very comfortably.

      +Kim Jeansonne I just test drove one last week. I'm 6'3", with the driver's seat adjusted to my settings, I sat in the back seats and still had a ton of room. Also, just like you, advanced technology is great, but not really all that necessary. Especially if you're gonna be driving the vehicle the most and going to fully be able to use some of the entertainment features. But maybe that's just me.

      +ERAUPRCWA I bought the XLT..works for me and I like the size of the vehicle. Drove an F-150 for years and feel safe in this. I'm not into the whole sporty look, which I think other than the cool taillights and wheels, there really isn't much difference from mine and the sporty gauge board and memory seat option isn't my type of option. I love Ford Sync, had them in both my trucks and the google map navigation is nice. I prefer voice, vice touch screen. Less hassle when driving directions change.

      I did go over the optional 3.5 L Twin Turbo V6 and gave the specs so don't tell me that I didn't go over it and In the beginning of the video I specifically said the Sport Trim comes with a Sport Tuned Suspension.

    • @drusier
      @drusier 10 лет назад

      Camerons Car Reviews did you know the 2015 limited has heated second row for less money than the sport? Did you note the air conditioned/heated seats, heated steering wheel, power fold mirrors, body colored door handles (new for 15), trailer tow included in the sport trim, 1k msrp increase over MY14. Those are details. Reading a spec sheet is not a car review...information like the 2.0 eco boost really doesnt add any fuel economy b/c of vehicle weight or the lack of HID headlamps on all but one limited 302a trim. Did Future Ford provide you any compensation?

    • @CameronsCarReviews
      @CameronsCarReviews  10 лет назад +6

      drusier I didn't do a 2015 Limited those features are available but ours didn't have it for nearly $50,000 which is a disappointment and it SHOULD have it, well then if you wanna do the damn car review be MY GUEST. Plus, a review is a formal assessment or examination of something with the possibility or intention of instituting change if necessary and I simply just didn't read off a spec sheet. I simply can't go over every Single little detail my god, stop being so nitpicky if you wanna mention it in your little car review of the 2015 Explorer be my guest. I can create the videos how I want do it, who are you to sit up there and tell me what to do in my video.

    I am soooo glad I passed on the Explorer and bought a GMC Acadia instead. Not as powerful, but WAY MORE bang for the buck! I'm 6'4" and 2nd row is totally comfortable and roomy, even the third row was tolerable for a 2 hour drive (had to test it). I can even transfer from second row to third while in motion.

    Has the Ford Explorer improved it's reliability? I drove one and I liked it but my previous experience with Ford was replacement of a transmission at 40,000 miles and AC that kept going out. A few other things -- but otherwise, I like the way Ford feels and drives. Oh, and the leather in the new models has a strong dye odor. Does it dissipate? Thanks.

    What Taps my ass tho is for this price I could go and get a Summit Model Jeep Grand Cherokee, OR I could Go and Get a R/T Model Dodge Durango for about 10-12K LESS, and Get MORE Standard Features, More Room, and More Practicality. Let's say even If I want to option out my Dodge Durango, I get wayy more, I blow this Explorer out the Water, and Im STILL Cheaper than 50K by about $3,000. If Ford expects this Car to remain competitive, they had Better Refresh, and redesign for 2016-17 . And Real QUICK!!

    • @Handleitlol
      @Handleitlol 9 лет назад

      You could get a loaded XLT for 10-12 less also. Fully loaded Durango is over 50k, and Durango is being discontinued in favor of another style after 2016. Too little too late for the Durango...prices are comparing apples to oranges, stop the lies

    • @Jhonnyblaze28
      @Jhonnyblaze28 9 лет назад

      Durango R/T is heavier than the Explorer, the Explorer would whoop the Durango R/T's ass and Daniel is right btw, the extra stuff would add to the price tag as a R/T your mentioning that would cost 10-12K less doesn't have nearly as much as this Explorer, This Explorer Sport is fully loaded, it even has after market rims, those are not the normal sport rims. The 2016 already revealed itself, It looks a little bit different, same body frame. They dropped the 2.0L ecoboost for the 2.3L Ecoboost due to the Explorer having insufficient power from the 2.0. The 2.3 will make 270 Horsepower and 300 lb. ft. versus 240 horsepower and 270 lb ft. they kept the 290Hp 3.5L V6 and 365Hp Sport 3.5L Ecoboost.

      I got the dealer to knock mine down to 43K, Pretty much all SUVs in this segment fully loaded as I looked around will cost between 40-55K. Give or take on the trim that is selected. Kia Sorento Limited SXL costed 42K fully loaded as did the Hyundai Santa Fe and Pathfinder. The Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Fully loaded costs 50K+ as did the Durango. Forget about the Pilot (design is garbage), Acadia, Traverse, Enclave and Mazda CX-9

    How does it compare to Acadia/traverse?

    • @CameronsCarReviews
      @CameronsCarReviews  10 лет назад +2

      Acadia Traverse have much more cargo room and passenger space infact one of the best in the class. Styling wise I think Acadia looks more classier than the Explorer and Powertrains Wise the Explorer has more fuel efficient and powerful powertrains. Interior wise there both about the same but in my opinion the Traverse and Acadias interiors pop out a little more. Overall I would pick the Acadia over Explorer, but I would pick Explorer over Traverse.

    The car kind of seems a bit hit n miss. The exterior styling is really nice and I love the idea of the twin turbo v6 with a nice intake you will get some great spooling sounds. But the interior really lets its down and therefore so does the price. If the interior was of a much higher standard then 50k would be ok. The interior styling seems cheap, poorly designed and that Sony center console looks like something a 16 year old would put in an old 240sx not a luxury SUV. It certainly doesn't look like worst in class but the interior is still pretty bad by anyone's standards. But I'd be way more interested in a Grand Cherokee than this.

      Yes I realize what you get for the US dollar in other countries is beyond insane.
      You better have a warranty to keep those "features" working. My Ford Touch is still garbage.

    • @BTC909
      @BTC909 10 лет назад

      Samer Planet Earth Sure in other markets this would be considered new. Most buyers are fooled by the infotainment systems. Americans are leery about the long term reliability of many Ford products. Some model are exceptions but most are questionable.

    • @yoyoluc
      @yoyoluc 9 лет назад

      Because of the exact reason I noted. There are better vehicles available for $50k, like a Grand Cherokee or ML. Some better vehicles even well under $50k like a GLK, Q5, X3, or Lexus RX, all much nicer cars.

    • @forouza1
      @forouza1 9 лет назад

      Well with respect to the ML, a similarly optioned ML compared to the sport or limited will run you easily over 65K. Yes ML base price is just under 50K but as will most Mercedes/BMW models, price will skyrocket when you start added all the comparable options.
