    You did a great job on the boat and the video. I really like the time lapse that shows just about everything you did.

      I bought a used pontoon boat and I plan on doing something similar to it sometime in the future.

      I will mostly use my pontoon boat in calm lakes and I am seriously thinking about not bolting the seats down, so I can change the floor plan according to what I am doing out on the water.

      @@anthonyholmes71 A modular configuration is a cool idea. I would suggest something to make the semi secure while on the water or traveling on the highway. Like hook and loop (Velcro) or pre staged low profile latches.

    I think i would have moved the entire fencing and furniture forward to leave room for a swim platform on either side of the motor. You could have cut the amount of open deck in front of the fencing on the bow in half. That way the rear gate doesn't open right into the motor and you'd have room for a swim ladder.

    i know this is a year old and not sure if you are still monitoring this post, but I love the red and have been thinking about changing my pontoon panels from black to red. Would you say, in your opinion that this is something anyone could do? How long do you estimate just the panel replacement took? Thank you and excellent job by the way.

    Can you build a double wide tri marang pontoon boat, or as wide as legally possible to transport on the road?

    You need to change the water pump impeller. When they set a long time they harden up and they’re dysfunctional.

      That very true. I changed it before running the motor. Didn't film any of it though... Thanks for watching!

    What brand, type of blk paint you use for your rails, budget or expensive? It came out really glossy. In the process of doing the same thing .

    • @TJLawrence254
      @TJLawrence254  3 года назад +1

      Rust-Oleum hi gloss aluminum oil based paint. It was about $35 for a gallon.

      @@TJLawrence254 Thanks for the info and reply👍 how long now has it been painted how's it holding up.? That's way better price than the expensive auto paint for sure. Oh and did you have to thin it down to spray it? If so what u use?

    • @TJLawrence254
      @TJLawrence254  3 года назад +1

      It's been about 8 months. Paint still looks new! I did thin it down 10%. It will say on the can what can be used to thin it with.

      There is a cotter pin in the back of the Rotary Helm that comes out. Then you keep turning the wheel until all of the cable is spun out.

    I'd really like to see the whole motor installation step-by-step. The time-lapse isn't very helpful for the inexperienced.

    Piano music is NOT helping your video. Your voice-over is almost drowned out.
