I never take anyone lightly. The more people build the better they get so at any point someone can be a break out. You can learn a lot in a year. I just love seeing everyone and getting to run some saws.

I ran my echo 501 in the 3ci.I was running my 660 clone in the 6ci, going off of video cut times I could have had 3rd overall but messed up on the 3rd transition. I will strive to be on the other 1-10 list next year 🤭. Great job everyone! A-lot of great racing and builders. I appreciate this outlook as it really does show how close these races and builds are to one another. Thanks Smitty!

Brad Hunt is someone to keep an eye on because he’s really getting his saws running good. It’s his first year building saws and racing. He’s gonna be a top builder soon.

That Ethan Trainer guy, he's a class act. Not only is he an awesome competitor and builds a mean saw, he's a great guy and very helpful, a true gentleman.

    1.Good saw
    2.Good chain
    3.Don’t Suck

#3 is the hardest without a doubt!

Don’t forget chains and technique, many of the slower runners have enough saw. A good chain can make an average saw fast, a poor chain can make a fast saw slow. Same for technique. Keep learning and moving up.
