Corbin, I’m trying to pick up all the tricks to use Copilot especially in Word. All the videos on this topic are uselessly superficial… except YOURS. Please keep it up and please keep digging deeper into how to use this wonderful tool. Following you here and on the app formerly known as as Twitter
Thank you Corbin I was excited about copilot but wasn't that amazed from what I saw today. You said workflow and I want to ask if going ahead you can compare power automate to zapier ? Thanks for your insights your Great 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Corbin, great content, interesting that the way you ended up using it wasn't a lot different from copying and pasting from ChatGPT. This may improve when they start rolling out Copilot GPTs - hopefully with this option we can load the context to the GPT and as a result get better and more nuanced responses
Thanks for the in-depth look, very helpful. Somehow Copilot Pro is a niche topic on YT at the moment. Also seems like Copilot for 365 apps is still in its early days... but it can only get better!
Yes, this requires custom code and after the trigger, you will do the following logic: // How to set up // Create two inputData fields: dedupeKey and storageKey. // Generate a unique UUID here: www.uuidgenerator.net/ and paste it into the storageKey field. // Use a new and unique storageKey for each deduper you set up, as it will use the maximum capacity of a storage account. // Map the ID (or other unique value) from your Zap's Trigger into the dedupeKey field. // Add a Filter after this Code Step to only continue the Zap if 'previouslySeenValue' is false.
Are you doing something special to rewrite bullet points? It never lets my word rewrite bullet points saying that Copilot does not currently support it. I am on dev build of windows but regular Word, should I go to insider on Word or does the enterprise version have more functionality?
Honestly, if $20/month doesn't give me access to other docs, then I don't need this. You've shown the best workflow is still to just use a tab and paste in the relevant information, which kills the integration of copilot into the apps which after the lack of document access is the only worthwhile feature, and if that sucks then this is no longer worth the $20 to me. Shame, I was really looking forward to the time save it was promising.
Yes, reference files is a really big value point that is sadly being gatekept. I will say, though, its use case in Excel and PowerPoint was more impressive.
As good as always Corbin! Easy to follow and great to take a deep dive into something new! And thank you for pointing out the costs!
You become a Tech Warrior ! and awwww here are some tricks of the trade .

Agreed, there is a lot of content to be made on these topics. 🤝
Hi Corbin
Off topic, do you know a trick to avoid gmailloop when running a pa on in box ?
Yes, this requires custom code and after the trigger, you will do the following logic:

// Generate a unique UUID here: www.uuidgenerator.net/ and paste it into the storageKey field.
// Use a new and unique storageKey for each deduper you set up, as it will use the maximum capacity of a storage account.
// Map the ID (or other unique value) from your Zap's Trigger into the dedupeKey field.
// Add a Filter after this Code Step to only continue the Zap if 'previouslySeenValue' is false.
Does it work with the Web app versions of Microsoft 365 or the desktop versions only?
It works on the web app versions as well!

Great walkthrough, this is better information than Microsoft has in place.
More to come!
Now we're talking !
I'm running Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise (Current channel, version 2402 build 17328.20068) but I don't know why I don't have Copilot yet
He's so polite that he even says please to a software.
😆
Your video is fantastic, man, but lacking in audio quality, you can invest in a better-quality mic.
Thank you for the feedback; I just bought a new mic today!
