My ex wife is currently paralyzed on her left side and has been since about February of this year. She had went out on short term disability from Walmart and now she is on long term disability from Walmart. But if I understood my daughter right Walmart is going to be terminating her soon for missing to much work. Can they really do that? It was probably the job that caused all the stress causing all the strokes. She was going to the doctor for a year because of severe headaches prior to her having the strokes. She's had like 11 strokes in a short period of time. She was in management at Walmart but she ended up stepping down because of all the stress. My daughter recently filled out for social security disability a few months ago and they just said she should hear something within 8 to 12 months. Is there anything that she can do to stop Walmart from terminating her to keep from paying her? I mean she paid for that insurance for short and long term disability insurance from Walmart for over 20 years. It's a shame a company that big treats their employees and customers that way. Should be against the law.
I’m surprised the Long Term Disability insurance company who is paying her long term disability benefit did not require her to apply for SSDI. When my husband had a hemorrhagic stroke, that was a requirement. The LTD insurance company told me to apply for him and that what ever benefit he is approved for by SSDI will be deducted from the LTD benefit he receives from the insurance company. Example, if she currently receives $3,000 per month from LTD and SSDI approves her to start receiving SSDI benefit at $2,000 per month, she will only get $1,000 from the LTD insurance company and the other $2,000 from SSDI, but still an overall total of $3,000. At least that’s how my husband’s LTD benefits worked and I imagine it’s not too dissimilar to your wife’s. But, can’t really say for sure. But, yes, if she is paralyzed from strokes and is receiving LTD benefits, she should definitely apply for SSDI. Good luck and best hopes for your wife. Also, please know that if Walmart terminates her, the LTD benefit will continue. It sounds like she was covered under a giant group LTD policy for Walmart employees and group LTD policies are there to cover you because you go into a long term disability scenario like hers. It doesn’t stop because you’re officially terminated by an employer. I’ll assume like most LTD policies, she is covered until her full retirement age for SS. But, I can’t say that for sure and I would check with the actual insurance company Walmart uses for LTD benefits and ask them the specifics of how long her benefits are for and if she is required to apply for SSDI.
I worked my past job 6 days shy of 25 years, my application is pending, ill be 59 in October, I have had 3 spine surgeries, 2 cervical, 1 lumbar, I provided current MRI'S and Lumbar x-ray, I have severe back pain shooting down my right leg, and numbness down left arm. I have 3 kinds of stenosis in my neck and back. I'm in treatment again, injections are short, and therapy is slow. I left my job because I couldn't take my meds until I reached my job. The pain was awful. After taking my meds, I was unfocused and spacey. Will I qualify?
Disability denied me. Had two hearings, two appeals and one remand. Second time the appeals council agreed with the judge. My judge is in the top 20 of the worst judges. To get. Next is to sue in federal court. Social security is a scam............ 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Good luck on getting a doctor to say any of that they won’t and talk about beating a dead horse took you 3/4 of the video to get to where you started from a joke !
Thank you, most relevant information I've received from youtube so far!
