This is almost identical to Peachtree City BMX 1989 NBL state qualifiers I ran as a kid. It was absolutely pouring and they were still dropping the gate. I was 6, but I still remember riding down the gate ramp and immediately jumping off and running the track with my bike. It was a monsoon.
Nice finish! Craziest thing at a race I was in....I did an open money race back in probably about 2000 and the guy who was on my team and my ride for the night fell on table top he cased, got air lifted out of the track and was in a coma for a few months...
bro i remeber 1 time at south park in like 05 at the 4th of july weekend natnl like 10 dudes got life flighted, 15 dudes got ambulanced outta there cuz the pro section was literally the 2 biggest doubles in south prk history, they were x games jumps. just massive. and ppl were crashing bad and it made the news. same year i got sponsered by hyper for winning the 11 expert main there. the owner of "hyper hot wheels" as it was called before it was just hyper, told me he wanted to see me win a natinal main event. and what main is bigger to win than south park, back then in 06 era. it was south park and lousville "the grands" (witch i won twice in 09 and 11') was top 5 for 10 straight years. never went pro. stopped at about 16 and started riding park and trails and going to Rays MTB right down the road from me, 20min away. racing got boring, USA bmx ruined the NBL and ABA, NBL was the shit, state races at any track in any state around here by south park would have hundreds of motos, im hearing state races today struggl;e to get 25 motos.... like man.... ive been to state races with 400 motos before. nationals where m going to the hotel to take a nap inbetween motos.. hours inbewtwwen at south.... ive spent 3 hours in bewtween motos at south park mains plenty of years when it was NBL and not USA bmx.. usa bmx ruined bmx racing.. and thats a fact.. so many tracks shut down, like my home track in norwalk ohio Shady Lane BMX, 4 time LEAP champ bitch. won the christmas classic/presidents cup, in columbuis Ohio every year, also a huge race with hundreds of motos, hundreds of ppl from florida would always show up, almost as many ohio riders in columbus as florida riders. it would get competative back in the day between the states... but ya. dont stop racing bruh, u got some talent. i first hit the pro section at south park in a rce in 7th grade but thats dope to see yall hittin it in the rain like that. super sketchy
