Putin did one thing for the West. He alerted the rest of the West that Russian exploitative culture predated the Soviet Union. The countries bordering Russia already knew it, but I don't think many outside that ring knew until Putler reminded us.

That history must never be forgotten. If by any chance you still have access to those pictures, please contact a historian. Photos of the Holodomor do exist, but not all that many made it past the Soviet censors. Any previously unpublished photos would be of great interest to historians.

@@kuhen25 Before the ruZZian attack on Ukraine in 2014, Ukraine was a neutral country, with a population that mostly did not want to join NATO and was loyal to ruZZia. And even before the large-scale offensive in 2022, Ukrainians elected the most pro-ruZZian government that promised to negotiate with the Kremlin. But the Kremlin does not want to negotiate, it does not want loyalty, and NATO is of no use here. ruZZia is an empire that lives while it fights and seizes new territories, even though it cannot give order to those territories it already controls. So all these fairy tales about historical justice and bad NATO are just jokes. And there is no one to negotiate with. If the West itself did not do everything in its power to save ruZZia, it would no longer exist and there would be fewer problems in the world. But the West constantly saves ruZZia. It's sad.

Don’t forget that Russias latest invasion of the Donbas just happened to coincide with gas and oil fields found there while Ukraine was talking with Western companies about development of those. Putin was so afraid Ukraine would take a good chunk of Europes imports away from Russia.
That is economic hindsight. Control-obsessed Putler was really rattled by Covid-19 pandemic that showed he is NOT in control. Starting a war puts him back in control and "West" is "not showing respect" either so Putler gets two birds stoned.

Extremely interesting, thank you. Question: all of these Russian people who were relocated over the decades to Ukraine, where did they come from? How did they end up being forced to leave their homes to be shipped off to Ukraine? Were they ethnic Russians or citizens of other "republics?" Did they go voluntarily because they were paid, and if so, how much? Were they promised better housing, if being sent to a city, or land if sent to more rural areas? Were they promised employment, did they have to meet production quotas of any kind? Did they mostly consider relocation an opportunity or a punishment?
As awful as it was and still is to "replace" Ukranians with Russians, were both sides able to coexist somewhat peaceably or were there subversive Ukranians making life difficult for the interlopers? Did the Russians manage to deport or kill the vast majority of Ukranians in order to "keep the peace"?
This would be very interesting to know.
You ask too many questions, Comrade. Russia never faces squarely its own imperialism and dictatorial tendencies. Massive amounts of people were routinely relocated to move troublemakers and people who asked too many questions.
The answer to all your questions are readily available in research and history articles. Try watching documentaries on countries like Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Try researching the gulags and the people who were shipped there. It is a fact that Russians settled in areas taken by Russia. The modus operandi is - get rid of the people in power (such as governors and mayors), replace with administrators loyal to the Party or the Leader, ship off anyone who shows signs of alignment to their native heritage, terrorise the locals, prioritise the Russian language, destroy heritage and cultural symbols and replace with Russian insignia, use violence and terrorist tactics against local populations, and so on. If you need an immediate example, try and find out what you can about the rebuilding of Mauripol. Do you remember when Russia evacuated the Russians who had been moved to Kherson after they occupied it but Ukraine took it back? They move in teachers, doctors, administrators and the oligarchs control the major industries thus having control over the working population. Yep ... if you truly are interested, this is the pattern of behaviour of Russia.

Any and all illegally annexed territories That belong to Ukraine, which Russia claims actually do not belong to them for a number of reasons number one the United Nations charter recognizes those territories as belonging to Ukraine.
Number two international law recognizes those territories as belonging to Ukraine .
Number three the entire free civilized democratic world will always recognize those territories as belonging to Ukraine .
Number four the international criminal court recognizes those territories illegally annexed by Russia as belonging solely to Ukraine.
So you see any and all lands and territories including Crimea in 2014 and all territories illegally annexed in 2022, 2023 by Russia actually belong to Ukraine and this war will end when Russia withdraws 100% completely from all of Ukrainian territories and lands Otherwise this war could go on for 100 years but I give Russia less than 20 years actually maybe another two or three years before the collapse of the Russian federation and then the freedom Legion can free the Russian people and Russia from communism and the people of Russia will be free Like God intended them to be similar to when Moses freed God‘s people from Egypt for the people of Russia will one day be free from oppression and Tierney to pursue their own futures in a free society.

Donbas is Ukrainians or Cosaks territory. There's the Don river and Donbas mean Don basement. People in Krasnodar speak Ukrainian. My grandparents from Rostov on Don river are Ukrainians. These territories were stolen in 1922.

It is not easy to go back in history and establish, whose claims are legal and whose not.

“Donbass” was neither Ukraine nor Russia before the 16th century. This Pontic Black Sea Steppe region was not inhabitable for agrarian Slavs before the pre Modern era. The land was a part of Golden Horde, the land of Mongols, Cuman Kipchaks, Khazars, Huns and Scythians.
