I had this car in the 80's - the mulsanne blue version - auto w/ the gnarly 4.10 gears. Badass. Had the motor rebuilt - my only complaint was it had so much torque it would pop the bolts on the drivers seat. Had to have two of 'em re-wielded (twice) to keep the seat on the floor. Listed at 370 HP - mine was dyno'd at 460 w/ .30 over pistons. managed a 12.37 1/4 mile at 118. I miss that car.
Thought this was a ProNation build for a second, they did this exact paint and stripes on a 70 a few years ago. Even wheels are identical. Guess that just means there’s more of this stunning car in the world.
For me?? All the split bumper Camaros look incredible with "ProTouring" set ups. Which what I would do here. Especially with that color. Man that's a gorgeous green.
This was just such an original car, motor trans, rear, body, interior only 1 repaint. Couldn't justify changing up such a original beauty. However this car has sold and we are currently deciding what to do with another 70 camaro we got. Just ordered a split bumper set up for it and have to de-drag strip the car a little. We'll post a video of the finished product once done.
Very nice. If I had it I would put back on the rear bumper fangs and change the 71 Z28 tailpipes for 70 tailpipes and remove the front spoiler like it came from the factory.
Juan sorry we don't monitor our RUclips to heavily. We post videos here to share on our website. This camaro has sold I have another 70 camaro you can check out it and all our inventory on our website. Www.universalmusclecars.com.
@@jbanga3836 1970 was the first year and is widely known to be true. Go check out nasty z28.com. It was a Turbo 400 with a 12-bolt rear. 3.73 ratio standard, 4.10 optional, same as the 4-speed. My friend had a nice cranberry red 70 automatic in the late 70's and was the first automatic Z I ever saw.

That car is sick.
IMO the greatest year for Camaro and the best color, citrus green, ever. What a beauty.
Yup I couldn't agree more.

In my humble opinion, 70-74 were the best production years for the Camaro Z/28.
The front end in 74 is fugly.
With what they had to work with, the 5 mph bumper requirement, it's a beautiful thing.
Those were the days
Outstanding example of a 2nd generation Z28,
LT1 goodness right there
That is one sweet car.
Wow. I had a 71 exactly like it.
Good Lord! Beauty on Wheels ;)

I had a 70 z in the day still miss that car . Is this a clone I have never seen an automatic 70 z ?
@ J Banga yes you could absolutely get the automatic (Turbo 400) on a Z/28 beginning in 1970.
@@thud9797
I think you are wrong no auto with a 70 so;id lifter z 71 you could get an auto not in 70

1970 was the first year for the Z/28 to offer an automatic transmission as an option, you had your pick between 4spd or automatic transmissions !
@@jbanga3836 The 70 Z28 got a turbo 400 with a special higher speed governor so it wouldn't shift itself at around 5400 rpm.
3 piece COPO spoiler would look better
Too bad it's not a 4spd...
But a turbo 400 is fine.
Automatic??? Wheres the stick? Auto do not make sense in a race version of a Z28.
Stick Shifts for Life.
eewf
Auto in a Z?! What. Waste.
