Even poor, we can still avoid tacky. Also, clearance sales are our friend, no matter what some so-called experts say. Retailers over buy even on classics and basics, and we can profit from that.
I work in healthcare and I see patients on a daily basis who have more to worry about than looking tacky. Unfortunately our society puts more worth in what label our neighbors are wearing rather than worrying if they have enough to eat. It is the old adage don’t judge the book by its cover.
Let's not forget your disposition says a lot about you. Just because a person has money and can afford nice clothes doesn't make them classy. What comes out of your mouth can tell a person everything about your character. Remember that old saying. You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig. 💄🐖
I have refused to wear anything that has a logo showing for many yearsI am not going to advertise for them. I’ve always thought logos were tacky. They scream “ Look at me! I paid a lot of money for this. I’m special “
Why this came through my feed is beyond me. No one with any class at all would judge another person by what they are wearing! Class is demonstrated by kindness and compassion.
Agreed! and those "garish" colors suit some people! they don't suit me sO *I* don't wear them but it's not a catch all rule by any means. Go Vegan is how to show those characteristics, because one can not be kind nor compassionate as a non-Vegan. it's just not possible
@@juanitahardy8583 I know. It’s an embarrassment to many of us American women. Standards have fallen it seems. Yes, sloppy sweat pants with an ill fitting tee shirt, etc. Add on dirty footwear or slippers, with an unwashed look/bedhead. Bar soap and water, hairbrush/comb, toothbrush, etc. for basic hygiene are inexpensive at Dollar Tree and Walmart.
these are not 'rules', they are standards of good taste and self-respect and apply to women of all classes; some of us avoid labels and logos simply because they are overpriced and often ugly not because we are trying to look 'expensive' 🙄
Women who want to wear every piece of jewelry they own all at the same time drives me nuts. Because I'm allergic to so many metals I have to stick to 14k or higher gold. I even have to be careful with white gold because a lot of lower end manufacturers use zinc or nickel to turn the gold white and I'm allergic to both. I have a very generous husband and on most gift giving occasions he gifts me with a piece of jewelry. After 40 years of marriage I have an extensive fine jewelry collection. I never ever stack my rings, bracelets, necklaces and I don't wear a piece of jewelry on every appendix of my body. I get many compliments on my jewelry, but how could anyone appreciate one bracelet, necklace, ring, etc if it is worn with a whole stack of bracelets or necklaces? It just doesn't make sense to me

FYI upper class women ALWAYS refer to a person using their CORRECT title.........it's Catherine The Princess of Wales NOT Kate Middleton. Because of this glaring lack of etiquette and class I stopped watching at 1:28.
The one orange blouse showed the model's white bra though the button placket, and the one dark grey skirt of a suit was so tight it was wrinkled across the model's stomach.
Stark white clothing is difficult to maintain and looks dirty after a few washes, as well as making all but the most slender look ENORMOUS😃Cream or beige is much more attractive and combines well with most colors.

Catherine, the Princess of Wales, has been the Princess of Wales since 2022, after the passing of our late beloved Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles's ascension to the throne.
Don't be so doctrinaire about colour: notice British aristocracy, very often seen in bright colours, remember Queen Elisabeth II, or Princess Cathetine's frequent choices?
Why do you keep referring to the princesses? Trust me we are the masses who are your viewers. Royalty has everything and everyone at their disposal. We are just struggling with what we have so be realistic maybe 🤔
Yes in fact English royalty has always been known to be pretty ordinary style wise. Even in the last, they were often seen in frumpy dowdy clothes with flower covered hats. Sorry not a fan of so called Royalty.
1st of all im not interested whatever the elites wear. Im not a copy person & i hate (wanna be) upper class people. There are true upper class & true middle class people who has self identity with sense of security. Im not an upper class person, i buy designer bags with reasonable prices & i based on functionality. I do not go for it's brand or name but it's functionality which match my financial capacity which will make me feel comfortable & i can carry well with my personality.
No upper class woman would have the ridiculous tattoo that I saw on one of the models.
You are right.
@@juanitahardy8583 I agree or those dreadful nose rings.
@@kellyhughes4017 Agreed! But I can’t find the model with the tattoo. Can you tell me where it is?

I appreciate that she is finally addressing the subject of wearing clothes that are too revealing. Nothing is more trashy.
Nothing to be ashamed of, having a body.
It sends the wrong message to show too much. I want to be more than my body . The exception is beach wear .

You don't need to be " upper class" , whatever that means, to know how to dress.
Whoosh.
Knowing how to dress elevates you to “upper class” no matter how much money you have or don’t have.

Some women have an excellent sense of style. They have taken the time to learn and buy quality versus quantity.
Another great comparison is Princess Diana and QC Camilla. THERE IS NO COMPARISON
Let’s not call people low class. This is 2025.
Some people are. You obviously live a sheltered life. Seriously.
The one orange blouse showed the model's white bra though the button placket, and the one dark grey skirt of a suit was so tight it was wrinkled across the model's stomach.
Excellent advice, well narrated!❤
Her name is Catherine, princess of wales ….show some respect!
I don't care what upper, mid or lower level people wear. So tired of people telling me what to wear, say and do. Be yourself!!! Like yourself!!!
Many of these outfits look wrinkled and too tight: jackets and pants are too small.
