The small spring you removed is supposed to keep the throttle open while the engine is off. Now you are trying to start the engine with the throttle closed because you removed it from the carb. This will make starting the engine more difficult. That spring on the Honda designed linkage is what makes one pull starts possible. The spring is also responsible for governed engine idle.
Have you ever serviced the clutch? Coleman has a pretty good video here on youtube how to do it.

I have not, we've only had it for less than a year and been causing problems. I watched some other videos that led me toward the fixes I did.

So how do you fix it? I have a 212cc predator motor new out the box with a new klutch and soon as I start the motor the klutch is spinning

@juanandrade8733 Do you have it on a bike or anything? It's supposed to spin some, but once it's on something that spinning, it shouldn't be enough to actually propell the bike.

Ya I have it on a bike..New motor new klutch..chain not hooked up. Soon as the motor starts the klutch starts to rip..I also turned down the idle screw

@juanandrade8733 Hook up the chain and make sure it isn't super tight, but you want it tight enough so it won't fall off. Then, put it against a wall and start it and see if it'll take off.
