Square Enix's music twitter just posted the official lyrics: An anvil from the heavens cast Tumbling hard and tumbling fast Round granite neck pours out threefold A darkness begot in ages old Sky black with rain E'er against its weight do his shoulders strain Rise, crownless king Of a reckoning, the muses sing A sickle forged of adamant To sever the man from his hooded past No more a slave to sorrow's gloom In onychine eyes burn chthonic doom Fury and rage For the gods below we invoke by name Buried in lies From madness white the mountains rise Soul flayed, spirit flown Heart of stone! Come one, claim the throne Heart of stone! Sins foul, unatoned Heart of stone! Eyes down, vengeance sown Heart of stone!
I love that one of the lyrics is essentially saying "Under the Weight" (aka the name of Titan's theme in 14). Not overly out there with the reference but enough to be spooted. Love it
Once again, fucking Koji Fox and the rest of the localization team delivering with the most poetic lyrics fathomable. I've never even heard of the word "onychine" before.
@valcristPL Idk man. Bahamut was amazing do not get me wrong. But we're fighting an 1000+ ft mountain of a man, running up his tendrils and arms like sonic the hedgehog, then to fight him again inside his crumbling body. The fight with Bahamut is amazing, but it never gave me the chills and excitement when I first fought Titan. This fight also showed the sheer absurdity of Ifrit's movement, dashing at way over 70mph (guesstimate cause man that run up to him is LONG), but for a 50ft lizard to move at that speed is insane.
@@ryu-chan5031I felt the same way! I was playing the game with a group of friends and said the fight felt a little underwhelming after the Titan fight and they thought I was insane

It made me so happy that Soken kept similar type of music for Titan in this game that he did in FF14 without it being the same. Please look up "Landslide" -- different energy, same hype. I was admittedly a bit disappointed during the first phase of the fight. The music seemed kind of off, and it was a really lame fight for how much they'd hyped up the inevitable confrontation. But then THIS all happens, and I just broke out in this huge grin - of COURSE they hadn't begun to show their full hand yet.
@@louisxii3482 honestly it’s a mix of XIV Titan, Sephirot (one of the Warring Triad, also a boss in XIV), and a dash of general DMC sound Edit: now that I listen to it again, I actually hear the same voice distortion they use in XIV’s Alexander raids
this is totally unrelated to the music but, the one thing I miss from older final fantasies is the amount of abilities and magic that could be cast. I wish there was a way to incorporate more spells or abilities, or even just have more than 6 if the abilities we already have. I would love to cast flare, ultima, holy, the AGA level of elemental spells, and even have techniques and skills, but I understand it would be hard to incorporate into an action game without stopping time to cast them.
My issues with this game is insane and amazing climatic battles like this.... and hours upon hours of uninspired back and forth fetch quests (with like 5 slightly interesting ones that end almost immediately) and the most emotionless characters that will suddenly crank it up to 12 and overact

You know Soken. With him, it’s all or nothing.
This was definitely a highlight of the game. Probably the most over-the-top thing in FF since Sephiroth's Supernova and I fucking love it.

its the same song as base titan, but fewer verses
