I didnt know Omega was in the game. So when I saw the patch name while playing and it showed a sneak peak of the boss my XIV senses were tingling. When I heard this music, it felt familiar yet so completely different enough that I couldnt put my finger on it. All I was hearing was "HEAVENSWARD". and then I could hear the motif from Azys Lla and I couldnt place it until i paused game and hummed it in my head. and then it all clicked. Beautiful
Azyz Lla is still to this very day one of the best "Final Areas" I've ever experienced in a game. The music, the atmosphere, the monsters, just everything. Heavenward was such a masterstroke of an expansion. Just barely coming in second to Shadowbringers IMPO.
the opening piano in this song and also around the 3:15 mark reminds me of mass effect 3, specifically the songs an end once and for all at the end of the game and the Leaving Earth song at the beginning.
@@Souleater564 what? I didn't cry like a 3 year old. I just teared up a bit. If you know the story of the composer and the journey he's been on, and then hearing the caliber of music he puts out, it hits hard. It's gotta suck living life not being able to feel anything, or letting yourself feel anything. Feeling things and enjoying it is "gay". It's sad that people like you act like this, like I'm stupid or something for it.
I like that track and the boss's one but my favorite in this DLC was the nd one that starts as you climbs the tower. Too bad we can't get a disc for that one.
Reusing the Omega theme from XIV kind of makes sense. The Azys Lla theme just feels like a reference for references' sake though. Same as using the FF1 main theme for some of Ultima's scenes.
Unfortunately, ffxiv has made any mention of "the worm" immediately default to shinryu and now I'm wondering if they're hinting at it making an appearance in the dlc stories.
Even though I knew the final boss from the trailer, I was still asking myself why we could hear Azys Lla, wondering if Soken was just reusing a leitmotiv that he likes. I took several hours before realizing that the leitmotiv is also part of eScape.
The music in FFXVI is simply divine.
Here you feel the majesty and the tragic fate of the Fallen.
An amazing civilisation that just disappeared.
Let me tell you my brain short circuited hearing the azys lla/omega/shinryu melody.
SAME

I was like wait a damn minute this sounds very Eorzean haha
Glad I wasn’t the only one

This track is definitly my highlight of the DLC. Getting some vibes from FFX and FFXV Ignis Episode.
This game is incredible that’s all I gotta say.
IT IS 👌
Such a good track, haven’t stopped listening ever since I heard it for the first time. Would like to hear the battle version of this theme as well!
me too, it has this sad yet mystery theme to it
I can see why the game won the award for best score ❤ I hope it’s streamable soon
that final fight in this dlc was IN FUCKING SANE!
Hell yeah, agree totally
Very reminiscent of "The Tower" from Nier Automata and I am hear for it! Too good!
Thank you so much for the upload!! It's been stuck in my head since I played it. By the flame, Such a good OST this entire game has...
Omg this is absolutely amazing. Thank you for this
The length of it is even better ❤
This track is so good, not what i was expecting for a Fallen factory, but it fits so well!
The Fallen were mysterious people and this theme gives off that as well as almost a Sad tragic vibe to it
@@danielcook7975 it is, they couldn't use Omega weapon Vs Ultima for some reason and lost their war for freedom.
Soken can't miss.
*sees the title have The Worm in it* oh reminds me of Shinryu's songs
OH
Beautiful... Reminds me of fighting to change one's fate, but the results, no matter how hard you try remain the same.
2:32 has a bit from scale and steel from FFXIV. soken is just too good
Or “Order Yet Undeciphered”
Yeah its just the Azys Lla motif which is repeated in alot of tracks, Heroes Never Die and Scale and Steel included.
Interdimensional rift vibes. This might even be better. Somehow
Soken masterclass again, the music in this game is magic
I need this on Spotify asap

Beautiful Track. I can fall asleep listening to this.
1:56 dude this shit made me cry when i first heard it.
Goosebumps...
@@mariorusinek5037 1000% it's when the choir comes in 😢

Here is to hoping they might add this track to the FFXIV FFXVI colllab
there's also a bit of Omega's theme in this
He put a bit of everything in this song lol
The piano theme reminds me of "Leaving Earth" from Mass Effect 3.

The melody is soooooi good 👌👌👌
This music reminds me of "Compression of Time" from FF8

eScape leitmotifs
I need this on spotify asap
Esta pieza musical me recuerda mucho al soundtrack de Castlevania Lament of Innocence, una delicia para los oídos 🔥
I need to learn to play this
Somehow it remembers me Nier OST.
Unfortunately, ffxiv has made any mention of "the worm" immediately default to shinryu and now I'm wondering if they're hinting at it making an appearance in the dlc stories.
Maybe he's chilling in Metia.
Stealing Bahamuts drip, as it were

Well deserved goty for soundtrack
So, was this released on any of the official FF soundtracks? Also, the Omega theme?
Wait what the heck? Since when do you put out OST’s. This is the darkest timeline.
