Problem with the old one was that it was passionless not that it couldn't handle And although this one is better the AMG GT 4 door, E63 and M8 and M5 are better
Sport Auto already did a Hockenheim GP lap with this, RS7 did it in 1.57,3. For comparison, M8 Competition 1.53,1, M5 Competition 1.54,2, GT63S 4 door 1.53,4. As long as Audi keeps quattro in current form, their cars will not handle as good as BMW or Merc. Front diff in Audis is in gearbox housing, which forces the whole engine to be in front of the front axle. xDrive and 4matic however allow to push the engine more towards the middle of the vehicle, because the front diff is located underneath the engine, so pretty much a half of the engine and the whole gearbox is between the axles.
@@roozbehbey It's hard to say nowadays. There's a comparison video on Tyre Reviews channel. A4 vs 3 series, same tyres, snow and ice. There were areas where quattro was better (mainly ice), but there were also areas where xDrive did a better job (uphill launches on snow and handling course), but differences were really narrow. It seems like Audi has the best programmers, launches of performance Audis are fast and reliable in both dry and wet, whereas BMW and especially Mercedes seem to struggle a bit when put in conditions other than dry and need two or three launches to get things right. That's only software difference though, mechanically they're all really good.
FINALLY I know what this guy's name is! Glad to see him again!! The last time I saw him was with Roadshow with Emme Hall talking about the C7 Corvette Grand Sport a couple of years ago.
VAG is making a killing from their 4.0 liter twin turbo engine. It’s used in multiple variations in several different models across every luxury car brand they own except Bugatti. Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche and Volkswagen all have at least one model with a V8 based off the 4.0 liter twin turbo originally designed by Porsche. It’s certainly not their highest volume engine but it’s been around for almost a decade now and just keeps evolving.
I love fast Audi’s, they have great style, impeccable build and presence. My fave is the RS6 though. Don’t get me wrong, the RS7 is great, but having such a depth of power, handling and excitement in an estate is so compelling.
I love cars The Audi RS7 is very beautiful and elegant, but driving a car with a British drive system in Morocco is a difficult challenge for me. It takes time to get used to that. I love the nature of the High Atlas Mountains hope you did enjoyed it
Owned a 2013 Audi S8 with older-generation, but identical format 4.0L hot V-8 twin-turbo - where turbos are inside the 'V' and intake is on the outside. When you say 'disposable feel', to me that had a different meaning. The car was beautiful, fast, fun, very solid feel. But always lurking in the background was the feeling that something massively expensive (epic even) was about to grenade under the bonnet. Brakes alone were thousand and thousands of dollars and dealers required pads and disks to be replaced together. Turbo's were known to seize up when a 'lifetime' filter buried deep inside the engine would clog up. Car was epic fun, but stupid really.
Sitting in the right side of the car and driving on the right side? I am confused. Usually in countries where you sit in right side of the car you drive on a left lane making you closer to the lane dividing line.
Good to see Alex back with a great review
Welcome back Alex! It's great to see you back!

Alex is the best
*Delicious motion lotion.

My goodness am I glad to hear his voice
Diesel poverty wagon had me going.
Can’t go wrong with the latest RS cars. Both the RS6 & RS7 are stunners. Great review 👌
Just beautiful. The cinematography, sound, narration, all of it.
Was expecting Catchpole but instantly recognized Alex's voice. Missed this guy. Welcome back and hope to see more of you.
Holy crap Alex is back! That's enough of a reason to watch this 🙌🏻
Honestly. The black trim instead of chrome adds so much to this beauty. I can totally see why it’s getting so popular across many car brands.
Nice to see Alex and his witty humour is back. Like the shape of the RS7 😍
Oh my god have I missed Alex! I love Catchpole too but this channel needs the both of them!!!!!!
Great as this car is, the RS6 is still my favourite Audi. Every day of the week.
Even Tuesday?

Always loved the shape of the rs7
hopefully this new one can handle corners better than the older version

@@arekb5951 RS7 is an M5 and E63 competitor because of pricing but I get your point
@@arekb5951 However, Quattro outperforms the other two when the going gets tough come wintertime.

Despite the model of the car, as long as you’re the one who’s presenting. Thank you Alex! Love!
Proud F90 M5 owner but I still respect what Audi brought to the table. The RS7 is nice...too. 👌💯
F90 you mean the worst one, it is not classic like e46 and it is not something new
The cinematography and narration are absolutely out of this world.
The excitement I had when I heard Alex start to speak!!!!! Welcome back!
Love whenever Alex is on man!
Love how Alex drops in, does a revue here and there, grabs a paycheck then bounces. Ha
How come Alex comes and goes? I want his reviews 24/7
I dont care about rs7, but finally Alex, so i will definitely watch it👌
That final few seconds shot - what a lovely looking road!
Wonderfully written and captured! You guys can make a minivan seem interesting
ALEX! So glad to see you! Top Gun is back
Once again, Carfection enchants and transports you to a different world.

Dayum Audi is my dream car! Hopefully I can afford one in 5 years.
LOVE the lesther jacket!!! What model is it and where could I possibly order one??
I was hoping to see Alex and I'm happy to spend my luck here....
Absolute representation sir.
Welcome back Alex!!! Now pick up Henry for an RS6 vs RS7 battle.

"What paint color do you want?"
"Sidewalk."
Spoken like a true casual onlooker.
Exceptional cinematography as usual
He’s back!
What does Alex do between the semi annual video he does ?
He runs Pornhub
That grey is too clean
Hey carfection, when will we see the review to the new 992 turbo s?
The old model looks so much better.
Jonas Punsvik yes and i can‘t believe the new one is actually less noisy than ever before. That was the hole point of an rs7
I am writing right now agree, I really dislike the new model. Might as well get an S8 now, way better and not that much more expensive.
I prefer this versison tbh
I am writing right now blame EU regulations. They’re killing petro engines at this point
@@ramonmv17 Same. I like the new one over the old. Though if one can obtain either, I'm certain they won't be dissapointed.
This video is absolutely stunning in so many ways!
Alex is backkkkk
Beautiful video as always Carfection team! That exhaust note though.. 🤨
Why have you never covered the M5 F90? @carfection
Can spec steel springs to tighten the ride 🙂
why don’t you and catchpole appear together on video? that would be mega
Great touches of humor. Loved it!
I hope they make an etron with this shape. It'd be a perfect Tesla S competitor.
The Audi e-tron GT?
The E-Tron GT will be the sibling of the Porsche Taycan. I think it's going into production later this year, and will go on sale next year.
But would you have it over the RS6 Avant?
Does it share the same engine with some Porsche?
If you dont spec Merlin Purple is there really any point ?
Rumour has it that this is the 2nd edit. After the first edit got shown to Audi they applied some pressure to Alex and well, fingers.
“Vee vil ask ze questions!”
Great review. But where did you get that nice jacket?

What do they sell at that resturant by the road.

What color is this?
I can't even imagine having this power. I have a '16 S6 and bone stock it's still jailtime fast before you know it.

Is the RS7 worth the £40k more than an RS5 sportback? Performance is not night and day different... I would say no..
Wait till the economy collapse... These will sit in the dealer for half the price

I thought "hybridization" is combining ICE with electric motors, not turning off some cylinders when coasting.
