Hi any terranova men out there my name is mick one of the operators of this wonderful crane it was a good time with Johnnie Williams and all the truck drivers that helped to rig us up good times back then many thanks Alex and family for a fantastic job and experience
Great to see this crane, all ways loved the Terranova Colours. Does any one know how many AC1600 s were made:how many in the UK and Europe and else where? Pretty Sure I remember looking at a Hewden and Stuart one in a services somewhere in Wales with my Daddy.
It was a great crane to operate and the cab was very comfortable had many a good sleep it was a comfort as we was away from home a few weeks at a time and worked all over the country
@@richarddutchholland4780 yeah it was Steve lord and Mickey Hutchinson had it from new then Bob Bennett and Johnny Williams took it over and then Johnny and myself were a crew on it right up to the day we was made redundant we was all over the place we had a job in liverpool and from there up to Glasgow lifting 125 ton bridge beams was a superb crane to operate so smooth unbelievable Alex designed the spec with demag

I've always been obsessed with the AC1600 , I wish I could Operate one,
A very professional and highly experienced company.
Demag AC 1600 and Liebherr LTM 1500,the best 500 ton class
Absolutely legends. However I guess demag ac500 is more on par with ltm1500 as ltm1500 is much more advanced than ac1600😅
AC 615 also Fantstic, is actually 300 Tonne, That's funny , the Policeman writing the Ticket,

Yes...good times for sure
I think there weren’t many AC1600’s with a sleeper cab built....

Mick Kearley it must have been some good times back then. Would that have been around the late 80s they had the 1600?

Mick Kearley funny you should say that I’ve just been reading about the closure of Terranova in 1992... where did you go after that Mick?

Einlenker Wippe war etwas anstrengend. Da werden Erinnerungen wach.
