How it going guys! Little update, I've been driving this vehicle everyday to work without any mechanical issues!
Great vid Eric, keep posting 💪🏻
Thank you!
@Ballinonabudget you have a bleeder on the passenger side you have to let it idel with the system closed and open the bleeder screw a few times to let any air out
@Ballinonabudget I’m looking for the bleeder valve as well, can you direct me too. The video you watched
It's hard to find good deals like this. Good job Eric
thanks man!
Very Helpful and well done video. Your explanations are great! The electrical connectors for the radiator fan gave me a fit.
glad to help out!
Great video man, I have a 2004 G35 6mt coupe that just overheated and leaked coolant all over. Your video is great, good camera angles, great cadence when explaining and much appreciated you mentioning the size of the tools needed. I would just add some links of where you bought the radiator replacement. I'm subscribing!! Keep up the good work!
Great thumbs up and appreciation to everyone of these guys that has the presence of mind to mention the sizes of the nuts n bolts for real!
Good job! A note would be that the plastic end tanks on these fail so its always good to upgrade to full aluminium one.
Love that sound when you broke the grill! Thought it was a truck passing by at first!
Good video. One thing, Be sure to support the AC condenser with some thin bungee cords or wire, to take the stress out of the AC lines. Bleeding is easy if you prop up the front end, Fill until liquid just starts to pour out of the bleed screw; then screw it close. Then squeeze the hoses and fill as necessary. run the car until operating temp. then rev until 2.5 - 3k for 10 seconds, unscrew few threads of the bleed screw to get bubbles for a second. repeat until you get burning hot air on max heat. Need to keep an eye on the temp. gauge. Also check radiator cap, and both low and high fan speeds on BOTH fans using the test mode and replace to prevent a repeat.
Thanks dude extremely helpful I was so confused with the two bottom ports but now I know thanks 👌
glad you found the video helpful! thank you!
Great Channel and work , Subbed .
I struggled a lot lining up the ac condenser stuff to the radiator so I just cut of the 90 degree tabs and they went in like butter
Sometimes aftermarket radiators have poor fitment, what I do is enlarge the holes to make it fit.
Thanks brodi, I believe mine just went on me sadly hoping to get it figured out soon brother from another
Thanks my friend :) Just done mine !
Glad it helped 👍🏻
these videos help out a lot man 👍👍
Thank you for the support🙏
Thanks 🙏 for the vid good info!
Thanks for watching ✌
I’m doing this right now, I’m at the step where I should be removing the radiator, my problem is that my radiator is stuck together with that other metal peice that fits into it. I think it’s the oil cooler, idk. And advice ?
That’s the condenser.. there’s two holes on the brace where the grille is... right above the grille... one hole on each side. It’s a 10mm bolt
I have the same EXACT coolant leak spots on top of those hoses like you , were the seals failing?
So I have an automatic. When it comes to the trans hoses will I have to refill or replace the trans fluid?
you will loose about half a quart of oil so you should top it off
Did the swap on the rad. I believe I did the bleed right, but still kind of skeptical. Heater blows, fan goes on, no overheating after I did the test drive. (Did the refill and bleed process one time, I squeezed the hoses before starting and got some air out)
I just noticed that it idles just at 1000 but before usually idles at 500-600. And the service engine soon light came on. Are these things normal?
no maybe your didn't connect something, check your check engine codes
So since I have a manual and don’t need the ports I just install radiator and leave the ports without nothing
Yes correct
Hi. You said bleed out the air. Is there a tutorial video on that?
How do you bleed out the air? Let the car run and fill it? Thanks
How do u even pull it out bro
AmaIng video bro
thank you!
I have an 03 coupe AT and I can't find anything about the tranny cooler ports on the bottom....Any suggestions please...
Hi What is your question
I just pulled the radiator yesterday and at the bottom there are the 2 oil ports, from what I heard they are for transmission oil? How do I refill what I lost when I detached them? Or is it just simply just adding more oil?
Your instructional was pretty good on the removal of the radiator, but then you fast forward everything on the install. You assumed that (especially with the new/different-looking radiator) that your viewers would know exactly what you did in putting in the new one. You should teach like everyone is a beginner or novice.
The installation is the reverse of the removal
Bro I’m lucky and unlucky. Lucky to found your RUclips but unlucky to have to replace knock sensor, then harness, then radiator and others
Dang well I'm glad your atleast saving some money doing it yourself 👌
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE bro I’m replacing my radiator now😂 your video is great! Got IG?
Thanks I appreciate it🙏 its ericsdiygarage on IG
I just got done with the alternator replacement and snapped the pigtail connector (radiator hose connector) so guess who's watching this video now 😂
By the way, do you know how to replace the alternator connector? The big one that plugs into the alternator. Im surprised I had a hard time pushing it onto the new alternator and during the install of the long bolt, a bushing popped out of the alternator that I didn't know of. So when I tried tighten the long bolt, the nut inside was free playing. I spent 2 hours trying to get that long bolt out and thank God I had a right angle impact to continuously spin the bolt and put slight downward pressure to get that fucking nut off.. anyways, I couldn't remove that alternator plug so I fixed the bushing with it installed. It's good for now, everything is plugged in but if I ever have to remove that alternator, I think I will have to chop the wires to remove the alternator in the future. Would like to fix that but idk how.
Where is the electric connection that go to the radiator like what side
I have a manual so I just leave the two holes for the automatic transmission unplugged since mines a manual? I don’t have to cap them off or anything?
that's fine that's what I did with mine
Did u use any of the ports
no I did not
link to the website u bought the radiator from
What kind of radiator did you buy??
just a aftermarket one from autozone
Which radiator did u use
How to disconnect the ac lines that's where I'm stuck at rn
you don't need to disconnect the ac lines to get the radiator off
Damn I was trying to see the wire harness colors on the radiator harness ,my harnes melted so I had to tap in the wires shit
Are the steps similar for a 07 M35?
It will be similar same engine and all
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE thank you changed it out yesterday bro 👍
Hey man for some reason my ac lines run thru my radiator
it should run behind the radiator
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE got it I thought the condenser and the radiator were one peace but I’m having trouble installing the mishimoto radiator with oem fans any pointers ?
Can you list the tools used for me
I can't remember what tools are used off the top of my head. I suggest watching the video and writing down the tools that I mentioned as I work my way to remove the radiator
My radiator only has one fan?
do you have a sedan
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE yeaaa but other videos their sedans have 2 fans
What did you do with the extra two cooler ports ?
i left them unplugged. the radiator has two sections that are divided one is for the engine coolant the other is the automatic fluid but since mine is standard it was not used
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE thanks for the response ! I did the same yesterday and drove it around town and didn't overheat. Today I'm driving a little further hopefully it remains good and doesn't overheat on me . Check out my build let me know what you think . Definitely got a Sub from me super helpful video brotha 👍🏽
glad to hear the video was helpful, thank you so much for watching 👍🏻
@@limitlessmedia7440 I subscribed to your channel 💪🏼
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE keep it up brotha 💯
Counter cockwise 2:36 😂
This was good until you took out the clips and and when you alligned the ac condenser... Couldn't see shit
Good enough
