If you have the time please tell me what i could do! And also she has metabolic bone disease, so is there anyway to make her feel more comfortable walking?
One of my dogs use to walk past, have a nosey into the tank through the glass then just walk away. My other dog use to sit there with eyes like saucers licking his lips, so he got shut out of the room from then on
I have a black Labrador ands she is so gentle every time I feed or clean out my leopard gecko she sits next to me and watches she has never tries to get in the tank or do anything to scare him she just watches 😂
Don't have a dog, but my sister's Pomeranian was terrified of my Leo whenever he came over for a visit. Funniest thing ever hearing a scared bark caused by something less than half the dog's size!
I have a question, I just got a leopard gecko, and I’m wondering if I need to give it a variety of foods. Mine only eats crickets, and it won’t eat meal worms.
My gecko never wants to come out, she’ll come to the entrance and stare at me, but if I open it, she goes back into her favourite hide. I’ve had her for 2 years. With a lot of handling. Once, she got a piece of she’d skin stuck on her ear and her ear started swelling up, so I had to remove it, it was successful but she was extremely stressed and bit my finger. Didn’t draw blood and didn’t bite hard, she’s doing fine now
I got my first gecko about a year ago from a shop where he was housed with at least four other geckos on reptile carpet with I think two hides one of them being that hide with all those different stories you always see in shops. Despite this though, he is a healthy gecko and showed no injuries when I brought him home, I just wished shops prioritized the living conditions of their geckos more. PS my dog doesn't get riled up when she sees my gecko but she does perk her ears up and stare at him.
Hi, I weren't to sure how to ask you a question so thought here would be the best place. What lighting do you use now as the vid I watched was a few years ago. Thanx.
so at 2:30 there's a tiktok where the owner put up paper towel up the side of the tank, is this to stop reflections/stop them from seeing out? Do you think that's something that worth it? I got my own gecko about a month ago and she seems to patrol the sides of her tank frequently so IDK if she's watching her reflection or what.
I have a friend who breeds Australian terriers, but she also has a female leopard gecko named Sullivan (we thought she was a male at first). Aussies, if you don't know, are bred to hunt rats and snakes. So they generally go a little crazy if they see Sullivan in her tank. The tank stays in a closet most of the time, and Sullivan is never let out if there are dogs in the room. I have had two geckos over the years - one escaped and was never seen again, and the other died of some mysterious sickness that the vet could not diagnose. I also had two older cats during that time, neither of which showed any interest at all in the geckos. Both cats had more or less grown out of any predatory instincts by the time the geckos came around. Too old for that kind of effort, I think. I would sometimes handle a gecko even with a cat in the room (very cautiously at first, but mostly just keeping an eye on the cat after some time). The most the cat ever did was just kind of look at the gecko with an expression of "ew what is that no thank you."
My dog's reaction to anything in tanks and moving (fish, gecko, snakes, etc.) is first she cries, and then she'll like - put her feet on the glass and try to get them. With fish she'll keep trying, but other animals that don't move as much she gets over it. My Gecko was recently moved into a 40g, and into the living room and he'll come out and like- they watch each other? I've had him since he was small, and I think he just doesn't care and my dog doesn't paw the glass anymore (partially cause I told her not to anymore) but she'll go up to it once in awhile, wag her talk, and whine. Honestly my gecko just stares back at her in his 'imma pounce' stance.
Old video i know, but i like to share things. My older dog, Daisy, has seen my gecko, Harvey, before ! She's aware of him but she doesn't really pay him much mind when she seems him walking around his enclosure. Most she does is watch from a distance and tilt her head. My younger dog, Bo, who we adopted a few years after I had adopted Harvey, hasn't really seen him at all except for occasionally when he's in the kitchen to get weighed, and even then I doubt he's aware of Harvey since he isn't exactly the brightest pooch LOL
That bright orange and white gecko is super cool and I’m sure they look cool in normal light too but I think they have a black light or something over the gecko making it look like that
My dog is weird, I will open one of their tanks and when she hears the doors open she runs into my room. She will be sniffing and looking and trying to see them but when I do take them out and hold them she just backs up and stands outside my room watching. Then when I put them back in their tanks she comes back.
I have two adult dogs (boxers), I was so scared when I first brought home my Leopard Gecko that I didn't let them come into my room, fearing they might think he was some sort of toy or prey (they chase lizards too) but in the end, they both do nothing, the younger dog notices there's something in the tank moving but he just sniffs and stares while the other dog hasn't even aknowledged his existance so, it's all good! :)
I was at the pet store with my mom and sister, I was going to get my first ever leopard gecko. We saw some beardies. They were all babies and there was at least 4 in a tank. 2 of them we're fighting and the staff did nothing. It's sad.
My puppy dog doesn't mind the geckos themselves, but she loves to watch me feed them! One of her favorite things is to watch the crickets in their container as they hop around
Go follow me on TikTok I’m going to try posting there more! 🤩👍🏼 vm.tiktok.com/ZSTnTouN/

If you have the time please tell me what i could do! And also she has metabolic bone disease, so is there anyway to make her feel more comfortable walking?
My leopard gecko soon is going to get a upgrade!
Same my baby is getting a new tank. Her papa got her a nice new table for it and we are upgrading her!
@@imrebeccap nice! What is the change of the upgrade. How much bigger is it to there old one?
Thanx.
She uses Arcadia shadedwellers.
so at 2:30 there's a tiktok where the owner put up paper towel up the side of the tank, is this to stop reflections/stop them from seeing out? Do you think that's something that worth it? I got my own gecko about a month ago and she seems to patrol the sides of her tank frequently so IDK if she's watching her reflection or what.
That gecko that was shedding is beautiful
I have a dog and a leopard gecko but my gecko is in my room and we gave a stair gate so the dog can’t get upstairs at all
I have a friend who breeds Australian terriers, but she also has a female leopard gecko named Sullivan (we thought she was a male at first).
I got a kitten about 2 weeks ago and he has noticed my gecko but isn't very interested in her when he sees her in her tank!
I have 2 cats and a gecko, and at first, they would try to get in, but they gave up, and they don’t really care about breaking in anymore.
That bright orange and white gecko is super cool and I’m sure they look cool in normal light too but I think they have a black light or something over the gecko making it look like that
My dogs are so oblivious they dont even know that theres another animal in the house lol
My dog is weird, I will open one of their tanks and when she hears the doors open she runs into my room. She will be sniffing and looking and trying to see them but when I do take them out and hold them she just backs up and stands outside my room watching. Then when I put them back in their tanks she comes back.
I got my gecko after my dogs and none of them have ever noticed my geckos in the enclosure, but they do notice the crickets!
Just make sure the geckos and dog are never allowed to interact.
I'm early and i love these video I have one myself I hope you do more keep going your amazing
omg 3:18 that leopard gecko most likely would have KILLED that crestie!
!
