- A complete version of Universal's Superstar Parade's first run through at Universal Studios Florida. The parade features characters from SpongeBob Squarepants, Hop, Dora and Diego and Despicable Me. The parade has two stops along its route where the characters leave the floats and perform a song. This video highlights the SpongeBob Squarepants dance.

Everyone putting bad opinons about this parade need to consider this: 1. This was the 1st time they ever showed it to people( Have you ever heard of a soft opening/Rehearsal) Not everything is supposed to happen as planned. 2. This video shows only one interactive stop, meaning that there are 3 others that you didnt see. 3. Stop comparing it to Disney because disney is a BILLION DOLLAR business this is a Multi-Million dollar one. This parade is a huge step up for Universal so I give them props.
I think the parade was great. It was their first attempt with an audience so changes will occur with time and feedback. Disney has 40 years of experience and Universal has only run seasonal parades. The dancers did a fantastic job and the stilt walkers are dancing and performing moves that disney stilts have never attempted. There are other shows during the day with audience participation so make sure to see the whole thing in person before passing judgement. Great job Universal and the cast!!!

Universal is doing well for a first try. But trust me, I’ve seen stilt walkers from Disney do amazing things with all sorts of different extensions.

I enjoy the parade for what it is. It is 4 main floats, and those floats are VERY well done. It just needs more substance.

The Parade looks Nice i like the Despicable Me Float But i suggest that you should add more characters in the parade add Woody Woodpecker,Shrek,Madagascar and Curious George.Even Men in Black.

If I was the CEO of Universal's Entertainment I would make this parade better and have a few companies owned by Universal.
The order of Universal's Superstar Parade floats.
1. Despicable Me
2. SpongeBob Squarepants
3. The Simpsons
4. The Wizard of Oz
5. Happy Feet
6. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
7. Adventure Time
8. Madagascar
This is what I think would make the parade even better:)
It's a parade, really there's only so much one can do, and I'm sure there are licensing issues restricting them from the use of certain characters. Same problem Disney runs into with the Pooh characters. I think the nice thing about this parade are the approximately 14 other shows that were created and performed throughout the day utilizing the cast and floats as well so that the guests have numerous opportunities to interact with the characters.

i like all the Disney parade show
The hop part remembers me to the Disneyland soundsational parade. On the first float Mickey stands in the float and is drumming on a drum set. In front of the float there are some walking-Drummers.

Can you all stop bagging on this parade. Can you do this? Go to universal and see all the 16 shows, 8 of them are interactive and you can all stop with hating on this. What can you do by putting comments on something that is great. The workers don't like these bad comments and most agree with me on seeing it for yourself. Case closed

They need security. Those floats are huge, can you imagine if something bad happened. Also, the floats are high tech. Someone who works there told me that there are like, sensors on the float that if people get too close, the float will stop working or something.
Universal doesn’t own Spongebob or Dora. Viacom does. And Viacom also owns Paramount.
But probably universal has rights to Spongebob and Dora, just like how universal has Mario rights from Nintendo

i mean at least Universal is trying... they just need to fire the person in charge of this parade and move in a new person's direction, the direction that will get them a parade that would make the masses go nuts over.

Yeah, it's an ok parade. The music (sounds like Kidz Bop instrumentals of today's pop songs) sounds like they didn't spend much time on it and the floats are pretty cool. The main problem is its a very small parade. 4 floats of only 4 different properties (Despicable Me, Spongebob, Hop, and Dora and Diego) and you call that a parade? They need to add The Simpsons, MIB (especially to promote the new movie), Shrek, and other Dreamworks characters to really make this a parade

Hey, don't be such a downer. For a very first parade, it's actually pretty good. It takes years to build up the high quality floats, choreography, and crowd control seen in the best Disney parades. Look up some old Disney parades from the 70s and 80s. It doesn't compare to MK but then MK is a much larger and older park. This parade is very similar in size and quality to the Pixar Parade at HS. Given some time, I'm sure the parade at Universal will be greatly improved.

This parade has QUALITY, but it just doesn't have enough stuff, and I hate the stopping for 4 minutes or so. From afar, it looked like the Hop bunnies were the brown Aliens from Men in Black (drinking coffee Aliens)

i love the all star parade
All in all, this parade had potential, but failed to produce a good show. The soundtrack was bad, the choreography was simplistic, and the show stop wasn't really a show stop, considering there was no real interaction going on between the performers and audience. HOWEVER, kuddos to Universal for taking their entertainment to the next level! The costumes and floats were top notch and the performers were WORKING IT!
I'm so glad they cut Hop so they could make way for The Secret Life Of Pets

Everybody is putting in negative feedback with Universal because of Jaws closing,their show and this this parade.I can't agree anymore.Universal is just trying to be more and more like Disney everyday.I actually liked Universal more than dinsey but now they're the same.Hopefully this will only last for their 100th anniversery.
