Just a heads up to anyone watching this video, you can schedule events and add thumbnails yo restream too. Michael made a point to say that streamyard is the only one that can do that so it has a advantage, but that's not accurate. Basically if your torn between the 2, try the free version for both and see which one feels smoother for you. Also, restream is better for budget streamers because you can stream to multiple platforms and unlimited time whereas streamyard charges for that.
Hello Michael, You're doing a great job by sharing such valuable information via your videos. Restream io does not come free though. I believe they changed it probably after watching your channel get popular!
I was having trouble deciding because they are very similar services, but this video was peeerfect for helping me decide and so well put together with actual demos, thank you!
Wow thank you so much for your AWESOME videos. Question, what will take you the furthest for free of the two? Also, when using OBS attached and a soundboard overlay, which is more easier to use? Thanks again.
Any difference between the two platforms when it comes to the video or audio quality of the transmission? You can seamlessly insert pre-recorded videos into a live StreamYard broadcast that have been uploaded to the studio. Not sure, but it seems you can only do something like that by using the screensharing function with Restream, which is more cumbersome. Thoughts?
Really good comparison tutorial. Have you looked into and compared them more recently? It seems the features that StreamYard had that got the win in this video (scheduling for example, or camera selection) no have been updated in Restream. Just a heads up on those. Both great products. I was just looking to see if there was reason to change (I use Restream). But it seems both are still very comparable. Thanks for a great video.
Super helpful! I am planning to do another live stream soon. I always had an audio echo with OBS and Skype using my Blue Snowball mic. Is this avoided with Streamyard or Restream?
Doesn't re stream have better audio like stereo or something I heard somewhere and I was hoping you would mention it. I'm curious because musicians want the best audio for their live streams
HI! Great content! I'm trying restreaming just on RUclips and even when I set the quality in 1080 when the streaming is live on RUclips It Has max quality 720 and it looks terrible, I'm using ATEM Mini with 2 sony cameras; I tried directly on RUclips Streaming and the quality is up to 1080 and it looks way better, any advice to improve the situation with restream?
The restream sends content out it will likely scale it all to match the connection with the lowest max. So if Facebook only allows 720 the entire broadcast over all platforms would be scaled to 720. That is my guess as to what’s happening.
Great video thanks. Using my iphone 11, I livestream consistently on on Facebook live and want to expand my reach. I want to add other facebook pages and it looks like Streamyard might not do that?
Michael you are a lifesaver!! 😍i Great review and explanation about both platforms. I tried Restream last week. It wasn't bad, except at the beginning it hanged a lot :( and then my audio got all crazy on me. Tomorrow I'll give Streamyard a go. Hopefully the results will be better. Wish me luck! Have a nice day Michael :) Thank you for this video!
Thanks for this. Is restream IO free? I recently have streamyard, and possibly i will create account with restream IO if it is free to use for my educational page in fb and youtube, i am looking for one that can broadcast simulatenously. And is there a time limit with restream IO? E.g. streamyard is 20 hrs/month for the free version. What abouy restream IO? Thank you so much!
Another big difference is that Restream can accept RTMP inputs while StreamYard cannot. I prefer StreamYard because of the ability to schedule live streams but no RTMP input is a dealbreaker for me.
The limitations highlighted on Restream here have been adressed so far and it gives way more advance to restream over streamyard. Restream should make it possible to use video at 480p because for me here in Africa the bandwidth is not as good as on your side
@@MichaelFeyrerJr @Michael Feyrer Jr. Thanks a lot for what you do. Eagerly waiting for the update. By the way, I was about to go live and we had an issue on the computer, so we jumped into restream live studion from the mobile phone. I was sceptical but it went smoothly. Amazing !
If you don't want a quality live stream with infinite setup options then yes it does....If Quality and creativity in live streaming is what you are about, then is it the best option, hands down.
Thanks for watching! For a deeper dive into what streamyard can do check this video out here. ruclips.net/video/kdkFjM4FhCk/видео.html
Thanks I'm stepping up my RUclips and I'm a Streamyard user this video sealed the deal for me thanks.

Both are much updated since this video. I’ve done updated videos as well.
I've been waiting for this one. I hit the "watch later" button, very important topic.
Good to see you. Hope this one is helpful.
Hello Michael, You're doing a great job by sharing such valuable information via your videos. Restream io does not come free though. I believe they changed it probably after watching your channel get popular!
It has the same fee features streamyard does at this point. Definitely less free than it was though.
I was having trouble deciding because they are very similar services, but this video was peeerfect for helping me decide and so well put together with actual demos, thank you!
So glad to help.
Excellent video! One of the best side-by-side comparison videos I've ever seen. This is exactly what I needed to make my decision. Thanks!
Thanks for the vid - super helpful! Would be great if you added chapters.. 👍
Thanks
They both appear pretty easy. I guess it just depends on preference. Thanks for sharing.
I think as restream matures there won’t be a lot of difference between the two platforms.
Thanks Michael. Those both looked extremely easy
They are for sure.
The content on your channel that you provide
very Wonderful
Thank you
Thanks!
Great video thank you

A much more robust video add feature will be out for restream VERY soon. They will also be full hd.
Great Job of explaining the difference. Thank You
Glad to help.
but at restream io you also can shedule live streaming, am i right ? there's little calendar button at left menu
I believe you can now.
thank you for this comparison it was very helpful
Glad to help.
How many guests can tou have on the free version of restream (instead of six in streamyard)?
6
StreamYard's the best!

I would say they are very comparable. It’s almost more about what interface you like better at this point.
Super helpful! I am planning to do another live stream soon. I always had an audio echo with OBS and Skype using my Blue Snowball mic. Is this avoided with Streamyard or Restream?
Yes. It makes the audio piece a lot easier.
with restream io can you stream to microsoft stream or Microsoft teams?
Not that I’m aware of.
Great video!
Greetings from Tijuna, MX!
Thanks!
Does the free version of Re stream, puts a logo in the screen?
Yes
Doesn't re stream have better audio like stereo or something I heard somewhere and I was hoping you would mention it. I'm curious because musicians want the best audio for their live streams
This video came out before restream added stereo. It does have it now and many other features.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr make a updated one because res stream added more features
Thanks Michael. Great Vid
Great video
Thanks!
In the free version there video limitation? how many mb can I upload to exibe on the live?
Streamyard has a 20 hour limit. Restream has none.

Thanks!
Love your page! The for all the great info!

5 is the current max I believe.
This has been changed to 10. :-)
So helpful, thank you!!!!

No limit.
Can Guest Come Live Via Mobile In ReStream ?

Glad to help. Restream studio is really working to bring some awesome features soon so keep an eye out.

why didnt you show the green screen setting that restream doesnt have haha think that one would have won
Restream has green screen.
