    Holy shit, dude! This is truly bizarre! About a week ago I stumbled across your series after I typed in Latin Lessons in the RUclips search bar. I watched all the lessons and saw that it had been years since you uploaded anything, and so I just went on with my life. I then, just now, see this new video as a recommended video!
    This has to be a sign that I need to learn Latin.

    This is my second post in one evening to you, and I would like to support your channel, however, I am looking at the date of June 2016 and wondering if you are still working on videos for teaching Latin. I think you have captivated a lot of people, myself included, and suspect it is because you are uniquely genuine and just a real nice person. You would do well at whatever you choose to do. Best of luck with your medical studies and sincerely hope we hear from you again. Many Thx for being the "real deal".

      Thank you so much for your kind words, Gina :) I am continuing to work on the series and I have lots of lessons lined up but unfortunately no way to record them at the moment as my microphone is currently broken. I've been very busy these last few months but I'm working on getting another one and should hopefully get some new Latin and piano videos up shortly. Watch this space! :P

    Is there a reason for pronouncing Caesar and Cicero with soft c’s given that they would and should be said with a hard c if spoken in Classical Latin?

    Nicley done!
    However, it would be more correct to say that "-b-" is an indicator for the future. BI is NOT true, as the "i" in "bi" is the vowel that connects the stem+tense marker with the ending. Compare it with the thrid conjugation class: mitto, mittis, mittit, mittimus, mittitis, mittunt. The third class does not have a regular vowel that helps pronouncing the word, so it chooses whatever is said fastest - short i and u, which can both be compared to the Englisch "schwa".
    I know, you teach the a-conjugation class first and solely this class, but I think it would be easier to compare all the classes to fully grasp the system behind it, as you partially show us with this video when comparing the tenses.
    Keep up the good work and I admire your pronounciation.

    • @Gm030192
      @Gm030192  4 года назад +1

      We use the same word in English but you (pl.) would be when you are speaking to more than one person. E.g. if you asked an audience "are you enjoying yourselves?" I wish we had a separate word for singular and plural you in English. Bring back 'thou'!

    Exp: Cogit (cogit-o, cogit-are, cogit-avi, cogit-atum). What is the meaning of these words (-o,-are,-avi,-atum), why we have to learn them by heart, when the infinitive form is Cogit. Help me pls. Thank you in advance.

    • @jonahbedouch
      @jonahbedouch 6 лет назад

      The infinitive form is cogitare, not cogit. Cogit is the root of the word cogitare, which means "to think". The other words are different conjugations of the same term (I only know that cogito is I think)

    Gregory, Do you know that the Book of Psalms can remake our bodies; The American people need to learn these verse both the Hebrew and Latin language. The American people should read 150 verses a week and pray to Jesus and our Holy Mother Mary in order to fight this virus. I know this is a long shot however we have to try something because people are dying among all the nations within Mother Earth.
