Hi Troy & Pascale, I believe the reason everyone love your videos is that you both put your heart and sole into whatever you do whether it be sailing, gardening or farming and last but by no means least, being parents. I would love to follow your boat build Troy, I watch people building their own houses etc. with envy. Maybe if I was 40 years younger, I would have loved to give it a go. Now I am content with watching others do the hard work while I have a cup of tea and a sandwich. With my best wishes to you both & baby. From the UK.
The sailing attracted me. Becoming attached to you, as individual people, keeps me coming back. You're interesting, and I like your style. Count me in. 👌
I would like to see the boat build when it happens. As an amateur woodworker I can always learn from watching others and seeing how they tackle certain aspects. I think I have been following you two for over 5 years. Always enjoyable and interesting.
Build the boat, you'll enjoy it. You'll have fun with it afterwards. And so will everybody else out here that watches you? Test the personal opinion from a sailor that has his own little boat. And I've done what you're doing. Keep up the good work.
I don't watch FRL like I should but I'll be honest I miss the sailing. Happy for you both & you landlubbers do a great job with the farming. Happiness can take many forms. Cheers
Being a grandparent is a whole other level of joy. You get to relive having little ones around you again. You get to watch all over again a child growing up. Documenting a boat build would be very interesting. I was wondering if you missed being on the boat. I do agree that having family around is so worth it for you and your child and possible future children. I wish you and yours good health and a pleasant Summer.
Of course we want to watch the build process! I really love the new look and feel of the channel, and since I've become quite fond of the two of you, I'm happy to follow along with any adventure you choose to share with us.
Hello. Definitely film the boat build, Troy. It's been 5 years..Wow. I did not think I would like Free Range Living, but was so wrong. Your focus on self-support, overcoming challenges, and community is the thread I appreciate about this channel. Be well all.
LOVE you Two....WELL 3😍😍😍😍😍😍 YOU were the FIRST sailing channel That I started watching....LOVE the sailing and ALL that you have done....BUT Its ALL about you and the care you take in all you Do!!!! YOU are AWESOME land OR Sea
Loved your re-fit and your sailing videos & free range living especially. What is also great is that you are both genuine, real down to earth, no show boating & glory seeking, not chasing the followers & $, but happy to share your knowledge and experiences.
Pascal. something about that smile of yours. Rapidly scanning through the thumbnails, I locked on yours. Jeeez, the baby! GOD bless you three ! ! ! ! ! !
Hi guys, thanks for the update on your ongoing Adventure. I knew when you got that place in Tasmania that the sailing days were numbered. You've done one hell of a job of the transition. The idea of building a boat at this time on RUclips is pretty good. Some of the main channels building boats have completed now. Salt and tar, Acorn to Arabella, and the huge tally ho project have all pretty much completed now. So there is a vacuum you can step into, Troy.
Building a new boat would be fun to watch. Sharing your adventures on that boat would be great. We always enjoy watching what you guys are up to. You're a terrific family!
Free range sailing was my first patreon. I love you guys. And, while I miss the sailing, it is wonderful to see you so fulfilled and happy. Much of how I sail is patterned on you guys. I even mill grains aboard. You two have been an inspiration. Also, please build a boat. That would be so fun. Do a little camp cruising Roger Barnes style.
It's great to catch up again, and your plans for a new boat are really interesting. I would love to follow Troy's tips and tricks and Pascie's down to earth help and joy for life. Thanks guys Grant.
I focus my limited time on watching sailing, and doing some sailing of my own and supporting family, so I haven't been watching the homesteading. Great to see you so well and with an addition to the family.
I spent countless hours watching your videos. Came to love your channel. Wishing you two the best that life has to offer. You two are so well suited to one another. Always enjoyed the love and respect you had for one another even more than the adventures. You have everything you need. God bless.
Hi Troy & Pascale! It's been a while that my partner Byron and I have followed your channel, but my/our first time leaving a comment - I just couldn't not share how much we appreciate you two and your videos. When Byron and I met, he was (and still is... because that's how that goes 😋) in the middle of refitting the sailboat that he grew up on with his family. I've always felt drawn to homesteading/permaculture/etc., so when you got your property and the channel content took a turn, I was so excited! I love that your channel is a perfect blend of the things that Byron and I love and want to learn more about. Actually, around the same time you moved onto your property, we bought our first house on 0.6 acres and have been slowly trying out new projects that we've dreamt of for years, for which you two have been a huge inspiration! Thank you so much for everything that you do, for sharing your knowledge and endeavors and learning experiences, and for the rare sense of kindred spirit-ship from afar. Love and gratitude from Washington State!
I have followed you from the very beginning. Your channel, along with Matt and Amy on sailing Florence are streets ahead of the rest. A main reason is that you are genuinely lovely people displaying skills which most envy and learn from without you showing any ego or intentionally unfavourable comments. The result is that you are absolute pleasures to watch and follow. Continue to go well. I’ll be tagging along very happily.
The trailer sailor is a fantastic idea... It opens up places you could never go with a keel boat. And yeah document the build! Because i know you will do a good job if it.
Hi pascale and troy , I have been watching you 2 from the start. You are both amazing resourceful people with positive energy. It's been really uplifting to watch your content. Regards long term viewer.
Love the small boat idea. The smaller the boat the bigger the adventure, I recon. It is just as much fun on a small boat exploring small waterways, I found.
Please do videos of the small boat build. We would love to see that in addition to the farming videos. And especially looking forward to seeing small boat adventuring.
We particularly enjoyed this last video and the dinghy build to a Welsford design sounds a great project...thanks for your fantastic channel Mike & Jan UK
I would love to see a boat build from scratch, and with all the experience from Mirrool you should be able to include improvements in design and construction. have a great day, Nice little crew expansion.
Long time follower. Your Range Sailing Shirt is still one of my faves. Would definitely follow along on the boat build!!! Congratulations on the new addition! I’ll have to watch more!
one of the joys of covid was watching you two bond and be part of a relationship in a caring and thoughtful way with, each other, your circumstance, and larger context. I follow because of many shared values and a projection of how to live well. the sea or land doesnt matter. thankyou.
Its always been a pleasure to watch a channel that just is enjoyable to view. Its like taking a sailing adventure with friends or visiting a distant relatives farm.
I watch several sailing you tubers and it’s interesting to see how their stories develop. Many and mostly couples go the route of bigger and more luxurious boats. Others and predominantly solo males keep going but are often happiest when they find company. You are different. There is a good balance between you. You seem authentic, adventurous and good at what you take on. You tell a thoughtful story and will always be watchable. You seem to intuitively make the right decisions together. That is your strength.
Thx for letting us be part of your journey on sea and solid ground. You definetely inspire people to life at least a bit selfsuficiant. And Troy are you kidding by asking if you should do sort of a boat building documentary?!
When my keeler sold, after a while I missed the connection with sea, so settled on 5m trailer sailer … refreshingly simpler and fun for all ages! John Welsford designs well known, go for it!
Good for you on putting your health and happiness first. You're so right, the world went ridiculously crazy. At least you now have a beautiful home and community to raise your daughter in.
Would love to see some sailing and seafood gathering adventures around the South West. So many amazing areas and almost always a place to launch because of the unique geology.
@@FreeRangeLiving my favorite is Broke Inlet, amazing Jarrah & Karri, ancient grasstrees, very shallow so not much boating goes on there. Wild surf near the entrance.
Not only are you an amazing couple/family, but you are an inspiration and you teach skills. I'm 66, active. Still working and enjoying life, travelling and exploring, not quite like you do, but Ilove to join you on travels that I'm unlikely to make. As for your venture on land, being a country boy I love every minute of it, and as a father of 8 glorious children I'm loving seeing you with your first. Don't go to 8 though, it costs a bloody fortune!
I clicked on you people way back at the start and I'm enjoying your on land experience just as much as the sailing still wearing my Free Range sailing hat's and shirt's cheers and thanks heaps
A resounding YES on the topic of sharing your boat building chapter! I've been here from the beginning and I don't intend to stop watching. Every episode is worth watching. Thumbs up! Cheers!
I like you guys so much! Decent, smart, loving, fun and hardworking people! It's a real pleasure watching you every week! As crazy as it may sound, I feel you are part of my circle of friends, despite the fact that we never met and we are living on different continents! :) I would love to see again Troy "in action" building the boat that will lead you to new adventures! Keep it up, brilliant people!
Hi Pascy and Troy here in the UK Iv'e been watching your adventures from the start, and have enjoyed every minute and will keep watching wherever life takes you. you have a magical time now bringing up your gorgeous Daughter and are in just the right place for this, once she gets older there will be plenty of time to share with her sailing adventures etc. IIt is a privilege that you share with us some of your life and I wish you well for the future, Chris J. Always enjoy Troy's construction instruction! Recently had my FRS t-shirt on so thought longingly about the shearwaters surfing, my favorite video. Good to see you, on my rare visit to YT,
Proudly sitting in bed wearing my FRS hoodie and love you guys both on the sea and on land Bring on the boat build and don’t forget to document the growing family too
I do watch and am still subscribed to your FRL channel and I have been watching your channel for just over 5 or 6 years. I don't comment often and from memory only donated once, but I had a post office in central highlands Tazzy and I am sure that is when I started watching. I watch RAN sailing and have done for years as well, Johan is building a 50Footer on a farm as well, so I would faithfully watch you build your John Wellsford Pathfinder.
Wonderful explanation! One of the biggest things that drew me to your channel was your focus self-reliant sailing. That same focus has kept me here through the transition. Building a small boat makes perfect sense, and continues the theme of doing for yourself! Looking forward to the build, and the continuing farming content! Please take good care! Cheers from Guam!
I've always loved your channel. Keep up the good work. I remember my first year in college when I designed and built (without any experience or help) a 18' racing cat modled after a picture of a 20' Tornado cat. Sailed it in San Diego Mission Bay, Marina Del Rey CA & Ventura CA. Learned a lot in the process allowing me to sail in Florida on rented sailboats. Land or sea, you both always offer helpful advice and experience.
I would enjoy watching you build a boat and any other projects you can dream up. You are two beautiful, generous people and I love watching and learning from your adventures. Keep the video's coming.
