On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

I'd love to see a Vid with The F-15E and A-10C working together while in a way competing! They will be competing obviously to survive but also who can score the most kills against ground targets such as SA-8 SA-11, air targets such as Mi-24's Ka-50's even couple SU-25's, and provide ground cover for friendly troops! Since their always being compared I believe this would be an interesting and entertaining competition!🙏👍

70-0456 did not get the C-5M upgrade and went to Davis Monthan in 2017. She might still be there as a hulk but her fly days are long gone.

I think the best aspect to your content is how well you explain the logic behind the tactics of modern air combat.
One thing that might be useful in order to understand why a fighter's radar will likely be more accurate than a missiles is to visualize the size of their nose cones and therefore the size of their internal dish. And when you compare their sizes it's understandable that the fighter has a lot more power to send through its dish than the missile could muster.
Similarly, some of your more recent videos where you turn off the radar offer good insight into when and why a pilot would choose to go passive and conversely when and why they don't mind broadcasting their position (or at least direction).
Love his channel for that very reason, too. And he's got a very solid grasp of those techniques. I love (and miss) his TACview segments! Take care my friend
THIS is why I watch his videos, other people make neat movie style videos of air combat, all well and good, but my time is limited and I want to learn to be better.

@@troopdog23 it's probably because it doesn't have a proper cockpit model, from what I've gathered. The DCS F-35 might be having the model of another aircraft in place instead

Gosh these F-22 videos are amazing. I do wonder how accurately DCS models stealth, though, and how accurate it is to even get a weapons-grade lock on an F-22, when the thing has an RCS of an eyeball or something similarly tiny. According to Sandboxx, a stealth jet is still liable to be picked up by low-frequency L-band radar, but not the weapons grade X-band (IIRC) radars. Makes me wonder if true stealth will be achievable such that nobody remotely knows the aircraft is there.
Also, mark 1 eyeball...probably not the route to go with regards to actual mission planning. Going WVR reduces probability of survival from a shooting gallery to closer to a coin toss. So I do wonder how professional USAF mission planners would go about such scenarios.
I admittedly know very little about radar, but it seems that you could theoretically guide a missile into the vicinity of the aircraft using L-band, and when it got close enough it could pick up the aircraft using its own radar and go pitbull. The biggest issue is probably that an L-band radar useful for that purpose might be too big and heavy to fit on a fighter, otherwise such solutions would have been implemented 20-30 years ago.
I can hear GS's manic chuckle as that AWACS exploded....

Saw a really cool thing on military channel, we're the f22 along with the BR1 bomber working together, it was four 22s against 30+su30,rafeaels, computer sharing shots with each other it was awesome to see. Maybe that could happen here ! Thanks! Love this channel!!!

Missiles are great in BVR situations but once you go 1 or 2 circle, pilot training and experience are worth their weight in gold! 😎
I'd say pilot training and experience are just as essential in BVR.
