Hi, I would say for it's size it's 9/10 but more importantly for me it's distortion free at top volume which many are not negating the ability to use the top volume and get quality output.
Loudness may be the only chink in this speaker's armor. 9 would be accurate. The JBL Charge Speakers and the W-King X10 are actually louder. But they tend to distort at those higher volumes. Sony plays distortion free from 1-10. It also has more tech. It's really all in what's most important to you.

Hi, I would say it depend more on the size of the room than the number of people, I would say a medium size room it would be ideal.

Hi, I haven't had any issues with the battery life it's more or less as claimed depending on if you have it blasting out full volume or not.
I am happy with battery iife. I left it on for 6 hours full blast and I had 30% left.. not bad for me
Depends on how u got it set. If u turn the lights off, u could get about 6 hours from it. With the lights on, u could lose an hour or two.
