Both of them got posh sounding voices. I loved Roy Wood in all the groups that he was involved with. He should definitely have been Knighted years ago, especially for all that he did for the music industry. He put the Birmingham music industry on the map ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I always want to know what these great a head of their time legendary musicians have to say and i am always highly impressed with what they say. Highly fascinating and totally inspiring. These 2 opened a lot of floodgates during the 60's My life wouldn't be the same without such incredible talent.
I live in the States & I started listening to them when Brontosaurus came out. Immediately bought everything they had out & have been a staple in my listening enjoyment ever since.
Sort of.. They formed a short lived group called the "Rockers" with Phil Lynott, Chas Hodges and John Coughlan (Bev helped out occasionally).. Like most of Roys ideas from then on he lost interest quickly.
2 legends, A BIG THANK YOU BOTH.

Legends is absolutely the correct description. Awesome to this very day.
Great interview, thanks so much. I’ve always been a huge fan of both these blokes 😊
Legends.

Roy Wood. Legend.
I got into them as a 10 year old when firebrigade had come out.
I got right into them when i was in the garden planting flowers in the rain
under the lemon tree😉

Many thanks to Elodevi for posting this!
Roy was 19 and Bev 21 when they started. British Musicians always shave a few years off.
Did anything come of the recordings Roy mentions him and Bev doing?

I’ve always wished Wizzard and ELO would have joined forces for a one-off big band album.

Bev was in Denny lane& the diplomats, Roy with Mike sheridan & the nightriders both brum beat.
Did he ever shave the beard off? Looks fairly decent looking
Of course, American audiences make more of a fuss over The Move than E.L.O., for whatever reason, the Move was just BETTER.
Seems everyone was signing bad contracts back then. And I'm sure they still are. A Business Studies course should be compulsory for musicians.
Ill
Amazing!
