Wow does this game not like different objects touching lol. My next ksp video should be a pretty big mission, so that will be exciting. As always what else do you want to see?
I would like to see a jet pack for a kerbal! Although it might be hard! But I do love your videos! They have made me buy the game and I actually learn things from them! Continue the good work!
If you rotate the round decouplers so they are vertical and you put the tiny srbs on the sides, you get what I call bottle caps. It’s basically a tiny stackable disc rocket. Also you can use a KAL controller to supercharge the firework cannons and they basically are guns
I have 2 recommendations, 1. Use the nuke generators rather than solar panels. They can work when blocked. 2. You can use fire works at full launch velocity for a pretty decent machine gun, you can take out building, like the VAB using fire works
If you make the fire works’s color black for both the trail and star it will have no trail or star just the actual firework object and the explosion shockwave.
Yep, currently (sadly) any stack seperators and decouplers are completely broken in ksp at the moment. Decoupled vessels sometimes just freeze in mid air and other issues..
Hey that happened to me just today, I was sending off a deep space telescope but I couldn't put it inside a cargo bay for some reason so instead I had it be attached to a rocket that was underneath it with a radial decoupler and bunch of cubic octagonal struts, the cubic struts ejected off but the rocket was magically still attached despite not being connected whatsoever
Robotics being wobbly has been my main issue with the feature since its introduction, if you want something to stay, it requires way more struts and redundancy than should be needed. A note on control is that you can, rather than using WASD-QE, use the RCS/docking controls controls, which IIRC worked well with changing the target angle of robotics. Of course, it also means you could operate the tracks and turret independently. With regards to a future KSP build, perhaps you could upgrade the tank with a proper cannon, perhaps building an autoloader. I would imagine the best way to go about this would be having a pipe piece that accepts the projectile, before sliding/rotating down in-line with the barrel, before having a small rocket engine pulse briefly to fire. Also, in terms of self propelled projectiles, I personally find a decoupler with two sepatrons and a pair of little fins to be pretty compact, capable, well-ranged, and air-launchable, though that design is several years old now.
You should try out some QOL mods, like mechjeb and Kerbal Engineer. Makes things a bit easier to do. Also if you want to mess around with modded explosives, try BD Armory!
I always used a small stck decoupler with two stack separators as missiles. Rockets perpendicular to the separotor, it shoots like a disk for reduced drag. Enough to knock down smaller space center buildings, like fuel tanks.
Some insights about tanks, their movement : Actual tanks only have 2 Sprockets (the Wheels with teeth), usually in the rear, sometimes front, Sprockets are connected to the Engine and is what makes the tank move, which is why tanks stop moving if their tracks get removed, as Sprockets usually do not make contact with the ground directly, instead using the tracks and those smaller wheels. To stop tread hanging, you could use "return rollers", these are just small wheels placed right near the top part of the tracks right under them connected to the hull, that way your tracks don't go limp or anything like that, may also help a bit with other things. And, except the 4 main wheels, there are also smaller ones down there above the bottom part of the tracks, usually with some kind of suspension to make rides smoother etc. Famous suspension types : Bogie, Torsion Bar, Interleaved, Christie Suspension, Leaf spring. Also erm use mods lol.
You asked for some KSP 2 ideas at the end of the video. I don't have a whole lot of ideas but when they add more then one solar system, I personally want to try and see if its possible to make it there (to another solar system) without using interstellar technologies. It's a pretty simple idea but in my head, sounds cool. (Especially if you had a colony on another planet you could then land on).
Haha! This is great. :D I was thinking of trying to build a tank myself, (or at least the tracks,) but I never get around to this sort of thing when there are spaceplanes to build and colonies to plan.

Well. You dont always need to make everything complicated. I know its a lot more fun (sometimes) but you could just install BDarmory. Its a weapons mod. Adds a lot of cool guns bombs rockets and all that war stuff.
