      We are celebrating Neeraj's gold like we conquered the world. But we already had got an individual gold medal in 1972 itself in form of Murlikant Petkar in swimming but no one talks about it because people don't consider Paralympics as important as they consider olympics to be.

      Paralympics always looks too unfair to me. There are a lot of varieties of being disabled and some people are much more abled in sports compared to others. If it could be standardized it could be better to watch.

    I am not physically challenged like you brothers ......but i cant even jump half the height you guys were able ......My salute goes to your parents ....for giving birth to absolute GEMS like you ....coaches, your friends and family who helped you pursue you dream of winning a OLYMPIC MEDAL !!!! you reminded me how blessed I am to be a Indian...where spirit never dies ....I will try to do at least half that height in my life ....KUDOS to you !!!

    A truly class act from Mariyappan Thangavelu and Varun Singh Bhati. Look at the American who is with prosthetic legs and wearing shoes while the Indian athletes drag their legs along.
    A better attitude towards Paralympic games and para athletes is definitely needed. India are you hearing? Here are your sons feeling intimidated in the presence of a more sophisticated foreigner. Wake up nation and fucking take care of your people!!!

      They were facilitate by the government and invited in The Kapil Sharma Show.
      But media rarely interview them. Since the general public had very little knowledge about the competition.
      No TRP, No interview. I think this time if he performs well there will be exposure for sure since people are changing in sports in India from cricket.

    Neeraj Chopra won Gold, good. But Thangavel Mariappan was not rewarded nor focussed as good as Neeraj was and still he won in Paralympics 2016
