This mission and in particular this song felt like diving in Ghost in the shell mixed with a bit of Akira. Best mission in the whole game. Has something sad, tragic about it though.
That one was so good. and after the DLC there are potenaly more revelations in regards to that. Based on the screen effect used when you get the call from the shadowy figures. Also there is a gman like entity that follows you threwout the mission. Known as MR blue eyes. Yes, he is always in the background. if you know where to look and aim your gun at him. you get the "gun down" animation that happens when children are near by. Implying they are doing SOMETHING to stop you from fireing. @@rollin2874
Even before the 1st sniper, i forgot about the mission for a good while, cranked up the graphics, rtx psycho and just watched the parade. I wish there were more missions like this. The atmosphere for this missions is so much more intense/cyberpunk than the average walk into factory/restaurant/house and steal/kill this X gig.
I can't imagine a game studio being able to actually AFFORD more missions like this. God knows how many unholy hours the devs had to put in to make that one scene where they player is nose to the floor stealth killing... I missed 90% of the parade. unfortunately.
I finally leant on the balcony on my fourth play though... It brought me to tears. the lyrics are so melancholy and hopelessly optimistic... In Babylon 5 Kosh once said.. "One moment of perfect beauty." This was that moment.

Oh man the lyrics even tie into Vs entire situation. It could be read as wondering who V is and who Johnny is. and where one starts and the other begins. Johnny lost everything(and had to pay the price) only to return in the body of a streetfighter/Fallen corpo/Lost nomad. Realizing all he beleived in was false and that nothing changed. the city became worse in the time of the red. Arosaka stronger. V is simply trying to survive. even though he or she has made a name for themself..they will die soon. leaveing nothing but a memory. No empire to family. Like david before him and johnny before that it may all fade to nothing. @@aztek1192
Lovely! I hope to see the songs during Joshua's crucifixion and Skye's chat in clouds! I have been in search of those two for a while alongside Judy's scenes music!
Babylon 5: "What's in there?" .... "One moment of perfect beauty." This was that moment. It was my fourth play through.... I was on the way to assassinate the three snipers but this time when the music started I saw the "lean on balcony" icon... and did. Wow... I wonder what percentage of this game was made with love and tears yet was not seen by the players due to conditional branching... I honestly felt that this whole parade was wasted because I was laser focussed on taking out the Arasaka snipers and all but blotted out the magnificent effort that went in to making the parade spectacle. what an incredible song ... actually made me shiver.
Why didn’t they release this song with the cyberpunk soundtrack on iTunes? Surely this is a loved song? Or just bring it out as a single it’s such a good song
It's the mixture of of Hanako's melancholy tone, the background instruments, visuals of Night City's beautifully deceptive neon lights, and the depressing as fuck lyrics about the impermanence of mankind's mortality compared to nature.
I LOVED this mission. This one FELT like a high quality anime, the crazy flying castles the trippy visuals. The intense stakes. the fact that oda was sitting in the rafters as his netrunner watched you climb the tower. everything before it with the metaphors and the conversation about the Banako. as you watched an arosaka base in the rain. and this was like an EARLY mission too. in the fight Goros panicked screaming that you have never fought something like this before. that he will destroy you in an instant if you are not careful. If your playing as a swords men its even better. And how it ties into the ending credits. if you do not take the arsaka ending you will get a video call from goro "i am not one for speech's...know only that i am watching..waiting. beware scum watch your back" as he activates odas armor"

I wonder what panam and v are up to
Best mission is the Perelez' mission IMO.

This was by far the best part of the game to me. Stop to look around and rember to enjoy the game no need to rush through it right now.
That mission also has cool combat track when you get spotted when hunting snipers. Cant find it anywhere tho...
Wow - I went stealth during the mission so never heard it until now. Can confirm this is coming soon - stay tuned!

Unfortunately, massive set pieces like this are hell to create for the developers.
By the way the song is called Kojo No Tsuki (Moon over the desolated castle)
Found this completely on accident, but on the L just before the boss room, you can go up to the railings and lean on them for a bit
when I first heard this in the game I leaned on the rails for at least 10 minutes, killer mission .
I finally leant on the balcony on my fourth play though... It brought me to tears. the lyrics are so melancholy and hopelessly optimistic... In Babylon 5 Kosh once said.. "One moment of perfect beauty." This was that moment.

one of the best missions in the game easily.
It really looks like Ghost of Tsushima. it is also for this type of thing that you should not miss the cyberpunk experience.

It's great that they put this music in!!!!!
For some reason I thought the Netrunner sitting where you fight Oda was singing this
You are not alone in that one choom.
And I thought it was a song on the radio on Night FM, which was in the room with the sniper, I think.

Then Oda arrives. I get my blades ready and start calling for Oda on the way there
This song bro
Makes me feel less empty
Is this the song from the game files or did you add the drums? How did you get it???
Direct audio capture from game... with a few lessons learnt on preserving audio quality
Why no official release?? So sad..
