Thanks for the review. I know if I had EQ8 I would also have it for years before I sat down and figured out HOW to use it in the best way for me. I agree, having a book to look through is a better learning tool than scrolling through PDFs on the computer. I will be interested to find out what you think of QWC. I did not go and find it kinda expensive. I think with the amount of $ tied up in the machine, they would have more free or less expensive options to learn all the different things you can do with it.

I agree with you Marcia. Gammill needs to help the people that bought their machines. The number one thing I hear from people is the lack of resources for learning that isn’t an additional charge. I will let you know how the class goes. It was a last minute decision because a friend of mine was going also.

I have been considering purchasing EQ8 for my Mac so appreciate your book review. If you get the other book you mentioned I would love to see a book review for it as well. Just curious, where will you be attending the Quilting with Confidence class?

It is in Oacoma SD. About 3 hours from me. I think EQ8 is a great tool for quilters. There is a lot of videos on RUclips to help you out also.

It’s the straight of grain, which is the longwise direction of the fabric. It’s the direction that the warp runs on the loom. The cross grain is the selvedge to selvedge direction, and is the way the weft runs on the loom. I’m a weaver, if you couldn’t tell.😅 thanks for the review. I have Adobe Illustrator, which I’ve used for a couple of quilts. I find that EQ8 is pricey, and charges for many many addons, so I’m not sure if it’s worth it or not.
