It's a recorder and a whistle.
its very easily attainable by sampling one hole and then remapping the notes in a midi sequencer. you can also autotune the sample for it to be more accurate as it cannot be tuned perfectly after all its a fkn carrot

Some of those carrots look suspiciously parsnippy to me... Or maybe that's just how carrots work in Canada.
Couple of wacky suggestions:
Blus - i.e. Blues music made using Blu-ray discs and related objects (players, cases, etc)
Pick-sels - Using anything with pick in the name (pickaxe, tooth pick, etc.) to simulate chiptune music or cover a vidular gamular tune.
The white ones? If you take a trip down to your farmers market you'll probably be able to find carrots of aaall colours, I'm guessing that's what Andrew did.
