Thank you so much for this valuable information Nancy.... yes I certainly relate to the fear of machine quilting but I am slowly coming to terms with it. I love what you said about fabric goes out of style but not thread, so even though I’ve got small collection I’m going to become real thread magnet now...Im very lucky to have a unused reel of cotton of my mother’s on a wooden reel . You and your team always continue to inspire me ...😘
Thanks, Nancy, especially the end--have been stressing about the quilting. I know it is practice, but it helps when you are reminded again--and again...
You’re such an inspiration. Thanks again. I’m in the process of making my first quilt top for a queen size bed. I’ve of your tulip paper piecing blocks and am now putting them together with nine patch and rail blocks. It’s for my son who has helped me with the design layout and colours.
I also thank you for the last comment. You are so right, I felt that way too, but getting better. W model is this Pfaff? I have 2 but it would be nice to have one with more throat room. Thanks for all you do, love your teaching style. You answer the questions before I even think of them! Ha!
For this I'm using a Grand Quilter - it's not a "normal" Pfaff, I think it is made by Jenome or someone else - it is just a great machine for machine quilting. All my other Pfaff's can also quilt especially my new Icon :)
Lickety grip is what they must use in the banks. Thanks for showing the thread stand, I got with my machine and didn't know how to use it. This is from Ep 206
I didn't think anyone had more thread than me...I was wrong! 8-) This is my first time hearing about Lickety Grip. I use Machinegers...I'll have to give it a try. Thanks!

OnPoint-TV will do! That was supposed to say I’ve made 144 of your tulips.

Hi there: if you're using the 12-weight cotton thread for your quilting, what weight would you use in your bobbin - the 50-weight cotton? Thanks.
Yes Pennie - you are right - I would use a 50 weight cotton in the bobbin.Nancy
Like all your work but have a question about this one did you sew on first the applicate ?
Hello - yes, on that quilt I did the applique first, on the quilt top, then i did the quilting.
