Hey deb!!
Dang I live in Texas auhahaah
YAS MA'AM.
I’m from LA, when I hear people complain at first I’m like, “it’s not that bad,” but then I remember my house got broken into twice and a crackhead threw a shopping cart at me while I was waiting for the bus.
Yeah... it's that bad. Getting thrown a cart by a crackhead is definitely a sign
If you haven't gotten harassed by a crackhead, are you really living in LA? 😂 Seriously, they're one of the main reasons the public transport system is so ass.
I live in Seattle and I’m ready to leave soon because of the methheads and how scary they’re becoming lately. Seems to be an issue in every big city now.
Props to the crackhead for doing so 👏

One thing that Gen Z (even millennials) doesn’t realize is that the art of networking relies on genuine connections. People can tell if you’re only talking to them just because you want something from them and that causes you to lose a connection. Networking isn’t just swapping IG or numbers it’s actually making genuine relationships. That’s how it is in Atlanta. Everyone trying to get on and just completely dismiss making real friendships. It’s hard making friends anywhere as an adult 😫

Thanks for showing us a different side to LA
I think LA is not for everyone there are pros and cons like any other city
I think ppl need to realize that LA is like any other city there are good things and there are bad things, as international student who moved from dubai to La I love it here and planning on residing , I hope other do there research throughly before moving to any city and make sure it fits them 😊
@Bloomy Cookie yeah true 👍 but im just putting my personal opinion out there thanks for the side note

i went to a few us states for a vacation and la was one of them. i only stayed there for 3 nights but let me tell you i do not want to go back. it didnt feel safe to walk around at night, there was always weirdos standing around in the streets and overall it wasn't a very visually pleasing city nor did it give me any good vibes. the only part i did like about la was the theme parks, but altogether not a very fun city to be in.
that being said i do live in new zealand which is ranked number 2 on the global peace index so it was def a lot different for me in the usa.
Thanks for being transparent and sharing your story with us!! I’m so sorry you had to go through that and I’m glad that you’re safe!! I had the best time in Houston a few months ago. I’m glad you made the best decision for yourself and wish you much continued success in your new journey!

Tips for living in LA: Don’t rent anywhere in DTLA. No parking, traffic all day, unsafe, dirty. Find a nice suburb, even if its more expensive it’ll be so worth your mental health. The influencer scene sounds bad and full of fake people, but other entertainment industries are great in my opinion. There’s artists, designers, musicians, writers. So many cheap, great concerts and events that don’t involve alcohol- you just get to hang out with artists you admire.
EXACTLY. This just tells me very little research was done before moving here and she didn’t make much effort to break away from those toxic spaces. if you don’t like influencers don’t hang out with them and find decent people. LA is too big and diverse
@@sammymk668 I’ve heard a RUclips who’s an LA native say the same thing you said. Your experiences in the city all depend on what crowd you choose to follow and where you’re at.
@@MusicChanneI1738 a lot of LA natives are leaving themselves tho , even they say it’s horrible lol
The best tip to live in LA is to move immediately.
@@trerhodes8884 a lot of LA natives live in downtown or the surrounding areas, which are a)expensive/gentrified and b) everything I described before. I don't blame them, plus being an LA native doesn't mean you have to stay in LA. People move away from their native state everywhere. But it's a fact that the biggest industry here is the entertainment business, and if you're not working in it, the pros of living in LA might not outweigh the cons.
I used to be a fan, but after watching this masterpiece, now I'm a whole air-conditioner.
As someone born and raised in LA, you are SO LUCKY that you got to escape 😭 I need that type of money
I live in LA and I’m happy you’re safe and OUT because people do NOT respect influencers at all
They don’t, they dc who you are or what you do
Influences will soon find their worth in society.
Yeah we hate influencers and wish they would stop moving here. like please leave us people of color that actually go to school, have regular jobs, minding our own business alone and move back to the boring midwest.
@loveutill theendoftimes if they get paid it’s a real job
i'm so glad you are in a space where you feel safe and all the situations you've been through seem so sketchy and ghetto i would've left immediately lmao

As a New Yorker, I've been to LA twice and while I'll always go to visit my friends, I know I cannot move to that city. I'm glad you're finding your place, though! Not to get too "Counselor in Training", but this is so good to experience while we are young! You're doing great, frenn!
New York is just as bad as LA, if not worse
I love how real you are. Like I am the same way. I do not want to network, I just want to meet a nice person who wants to hang out.

I have become more confident and comfortable in my body, my grades have significantly improved, I’ve become less stressed, and my favorite RUclipsr (you) isn’t problematic and is genuinely nice. I love and appreciate you (ariyan, doris, and xavier) SO much❤

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and went to Los Angeles quite a lot. Went to CSU, Long Beach, too. I know exactly how you feel about L.A. It's gotten worse and worse. I also lived in Memphis, Atlanta, and Denver and been to almost every big city across America. The truth is, all big cities suck bad. Stay safe!
Learning how to decorate your home I find is like learning your style, look up different aesthetics pick what you like the best and then buy things that fit that aesthetic, I loved turning my home into my sanctuary, it’s a lot more fun than clothes shopping 😂❤
Honestly she's brave for moving to LA in the first place 💀
I’m glad you posted this because some people refuse to tell the truth about LA and how it’s just as bad as any other city. Influencers try to make it seem like it’s all rainbows and glitter and it’s not. Hopefully this video will open peoples eyes and your other video about LA too.
Stop listening to influencers then and ask actual LA natives about it. It’s very easy not to partake in influencer culture. Regular LA people literally just mind their business and you can find many genuine people. When people say that everyone is fake from la are they talking about the broke college kids with immigrant parents struggling to survive? obviously if doesn’t apply let it fly but when people can only bring up influencers when they talk about LA i immediately know they’ve either never visited LA or simply took a hollywood tour and visited places they think famous people or influencers are regulars at. Like y’all would never come to LA and visit poorer areas and areas mostly populated by people of color.
@@sammymk668this! It’s literally known that LA is not perfect. Tbh LA isn’t even that bad to me. Influencers always move to LA then go around crying on sm “LA is full of fake ppl and it’s not all nice! Don’t believe sm guys” like duh they hang out with INFLUENCERS and OBVIOUSLY there’s gonna be homeless ppl around. Even after complaining they never leave LA either like💀??? These ppl really think all of LA is gonna look like the good part’s of Beverly Hills. (This isn’t directed to Courtney)
@@tifzu_ yeah it’s like you’re not really experiencing LA if you only do influencer type of stuff. If you don’t know that there’s way more to LA than that you’re just lazy and that’s on you lolll. And even LA natives complain about LA. It’s not perfect and we never claim it to be. So it’s just weird when people go out of their way to make whole videos about how much they hated LA when only experiencing 5% of it LOL
@@sammymk668 How would you ask the natives of LA without actually going to LA? People on the internet could be telling you they live in the bad area of LA because they saw a mouse. Your comment is saying that they only visited places where rich people frequent but what if they've never went there at all? How do you know this person can afford to go to LA to ask some questions and then leave? If you're trying to tell people to be more aware of the local population in LA at least tell them a blog site or a RUclips channel where they can start off learning mroe about LA.
@@justsomeone2391 All these questions can be answered doing some simple research. And that applies to any place you're trying to relocate to or find out more about. Take it into your own hands if its something you're really curious and serious about. If people offer sources and links great! But its not owed and should never be expected, just saying.
Girl come back!!😭We want omegle videos, horror gameplay, something PLEASE

Being a Reezy has changed my whole life. My anxiety flew away. Literally, the word “anxiety” appeared above my head, grew wings, and floated toward the sky.
Also I would love to watch a “Living Alone” series
The ceiling fan thing must be a California thing, I lived in LA for 1 1/2 years and recently moved back to Nor Cal and I STILL don't have a ceiling fan/light 😭😭💔
We would love to see living in Houston vlogs omg. I’m tired of seeing NYC and LA vlogs lol I want to see new cities (:
I’m so glad that you are happier now! And for sharing that there were things you enjoyed about LA but it’s not where you see yourself being long term, being with family is definitely my biggest reason for not moving even a few hours away
A living alone series would be cool to see, but just stay safe girl 😮💨 !!
not every influencer talks ab this side of LA EVER.. so we are so happy to hear you speak about this 🫶🏽 good luck w houston
I visited LA with friends for a week and the best part about it was when I wasn't in LA. Like San Diego was great, The drive to Malibu beach and the beach itself had me thinking "this must be why ppl move here. This is a STUNNING view" I saw dolphins!!
But the amount of homeless communities was insane, it doesn't feel safe, it's not that walkable, EVERYTHING WAS EXPENSIVE. My friends and I went to a bunch of different thrift shops and tell me why already worn pants are over 100 dollars 😐 it doesn't make any sense. The coffee and food wasn't bad but it was also way overpriced and everything had tax!
OMG I JS MOVED TO TEXAS NEAR HOUSTON ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO AND IM SO HAPPY YOUR HERE OMG!!!!!!!!!! I LITERALLY LOVE YOUR VIDEOS SM ❤

I’m so sorry you had to go through that and I’m glad that you’re safe!
oh yea you have to protect yourself because calling the cops is not a 100% reliable protection. a little story from my experience, i was home alone with my 2 little brothers ( 17 and 11 years old, im 21) and i was looking out my window and i saw a SUV pull up in front of the house with a man in the back seat pointing out of the window at the house. I see the man get out of the SUV and walk up to our house and i rush to the door to lock it ( i know it should've been locked now im extra careful) and he started ringing the doorbell over and over to the point the bell was stuck. we dont have a ring camera, and i called the cops to help us because what if he was trying something?? i call the police and give them a description of the car and tell me "we will be right over" and guess what? they NEVER showed up. never called back. never came by to check on us. and my mom ended up calling them because she was also terrified of what could happen and they LIED and said "oh yea we checked the area for a blue SUV" but i told them the color of the SUV was beige. nah literally after this incident, i realized we cannot rely on cops to protect us, we have protect ourselves and our friends by telling them to protect themselves cuz rlly the cops will not show up. i even left a review on their police department in the Kissimmee Police Department, you'll find it there :)
I’m so glad your away and safe, that is genuinely so terrifying to experience, I hope you have a great time wherever you go
