here’s a karen story:
One time i was at a party at sky zone. we went to a zip line area and i got in line and waited patiently. when the person infront went, i moved forward (it’s the polite thing to do) and this karen with her poor child yelled at me (an 11 year old at the time!) “are you trying to skip
us?!” and i apologized and said “no. i am jsut not holding up the line.” so she was next to me after she yelled at me and went back to her child and as she did that (this is a GROWN WOMAN) she purposely shoved her whole body into me, as if she accidentally bumped into me. i was shocked and low key embarrassed for her child. she put her child on the zip line, threw her phone at the child, she went on the zip line, and that was that. then later my aunt tells me she saw karen yelling at kids and a dad for jumping near her child. (she was in the older kids area and not in the 6-1 years old area) she screamed saying: you’re trying to kill my baby! and the father to her “you should not be yelling, you need to put your baby in the 6-1 area.”

This really lightened my mood 😭 it’s late at night and I was about to go to go to bed and accidentally clicked onto a documentary and the first thing it said was an angry parent saying “You hunted down innocent children blew there heads apart and you enjoyed it!” 💀 (it was the Nicholas Cruz thing)
My mom is a Karen and I gotta agree with the "doesn't feel respected at home" thing, but it's definitely hard to respect your mom when she is a Karen (she's impossible to have a conversation with, doesn't admit when she's wrong and gaslights/manipulates to get her way), so it's like, a vicious cycle? I started to feel bad for a moment cause when she said that it really resonated but like, "fix it" is true. There's this constant loop of self victimization and entitlement that needs to be broken if you want people in your life to be close to you again, and it gets exhausting when the burden of respect is always placed on you instead of the person who acts that way.
Prayer is the best way to break that chain. It's not going to be easy, but if you do your part to try and be understanding and try to keep the peace and give get respect, she'll notice. And little by little with prayer, God works through people and it's the little things that make a difference. 😊
Therapy or a family consultant would be optimal, but I also know that's not always the easiest, aka. money and the mother complying. Anyway I hope she gets the whole picture one day o7

@@anointed.appointed I don't think pushing your religious view on them is the best option in this situation, maybe they don't follow a god or maybe they practice a religion such as Buddhism which doesn't follow a specific god/goddess. We all mean well but sometimes we will hurt and agitate people by pushing certain views onto them, although I respect you've found power in your prayers ^^
