I'm so thankful for all the blessings you have around you, from your precious family and home, to the beautiful Hartley, the studio, the greenhouse, high tunnel, that gorgeous pond, and especially the flowers on your property!
I see the handiwork of my God in every flower, and I get a little choked up.
It's just a blessing to have the privilege to see all the pretty things you share and I thank you so, so much for sharing them and Him!
I hope you and your family have a blessed rest of your week!
Huge thanks to Bethany and Paul for their dedication to helping everything stay healthy and beautiful!

She can't get over how grown Benjamin and Samantha Grace are. I love how I've been able to share this channel with her and she's recalling so many milestones. The new house, both pregnancies, the south garden, THE Hartley ❤ dirt lands and so many more moments of peace joy and beauty. We've been with you since you were making fairy gardens and succulents on drift wood in your back yard. To have watched your family grow and have this connection with her is memorable and thank you Laura, Aaron and family.

How refreshing to watch you work in the pond when it is so warm in so much of the country right now. We live vicariously through you. Is it really fun doing something so different than you normally do? I know it’s still planting plants but so completely different in and around water. I wonder how many of your followers will be out digging a hole in their back yard to add a water feature after watching this.

Hi there, I am watergardener of 30 years experience and if this pond was on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, Zone 11a, I would be putting in some airstones and a stack of live bacteria to help with your algae problem. Also, I do not deal with koi, as they are illegal over here ( a person could loose their house with the fine that is impossed), also I do not have to deal with the winters you have. If this pond was here I would be adding small fish, shrimp and snails in your pond, all will help to clean up algae. There is one thing, if you have a copper attachement somewhere in your system you will not be able to have snails, it kills them. Also there are never any oxygenators in these types of ponds. I suppose there is a reason? Do not know if any of this helps you because I only know how to work in my zone, not yours. Good luck.

I am so envious. There is no place where I can put a pond in my yard and I'm a water person. Having said this, I do have an entire lake and river system about 2 blocks away but the fish are a little more smelly. It is just not the same as having a fresh water pond you can sit and enjoy.
Love your videos. I learn so much from you. The hard part is remembering it all. I do have Senior moments.
Great to see the pond recovering from its algae bloom. Getting new plants and fish is so exciting.

I enjoyed watching the fish watch what you were doing. I used to think that fish didn't really have much awareness of us, but they really do....they're actually intelligent! I learned this when I was working at Disney's Animal Kingdom, on the gorilla walking trail. We have an aviary there with African birds, and there's a boardwalk that goes over a fairly shallow fish pond, full of African cichlids. When it was really slow and there was nothing else to do, I'd watch the fish, and I started noticing their little interactions, etc.

I loved all the water plants and where you placed them around the pond. When you were in the store choosing them I thought there would be way too many, but Laura, you knew what you were doing! The one plant that I would keep an eye on would be the society garlic. My sister planted some in her Palm Desert garden and they went crazy and ran rampant. It may be the difference in temperatures (since you get cooler nights and then cold winters) . I had the task of digging them out for her......not fun!

Your priority should be oxygenated plants for the bottom of your pond. Floating plants are so pretty like aquatic jacinthes.

I would strongly suggest some oxygenating underwater plants. Those plants have saved my show Koi from many predators.

I think the plan looks great and from an outsiders perspective it’s exactly the way upon should look there will always be a little algae. What a peaceful enjoyable place on your amazing property.

What a wonderful area. I can hear all the birds. I would be there every evening just watching it all. Do the kids want to go in with you? Samantha's hair is growing beautiful like her mom's.
What a magical place to grow up in.
Thank you for all the inspiring videos.

What a fun and gorgeous video! Loved all the new plants for the pond. Great color choice on the water lilies! No to the red as well 😂. Samantha was a great helper. Seems wise beyond her years. Loved that Russell showed as well!! Thanks for all the work you share with us!! ❤
