This moment is bittersweet for me. On one hand I am sad that I am saying goodbye to this car but on the other hand I am happy because I got to drive such an amazing vehicle for the last 3 years and go on so many adventure and meet so many people. This car is an extension of my personality and I would not be where I am without it. I trusted this car more than most people would trust they brand new off the lot vehicles. New bigger things are coming so don't worry!

Unfortunately after 240,000km the engine of the Legacy is no longer healthy and the body is quite rough. I have decided to retire the toaster and part it out in order to purchase a new daily. Thanks for the support and love everyone! The Spacetoaster will live on in our hearts through this video and all the memories!

To be honest I'm surprised the motor lasted that long. Most blow up wayyyy sooner than that. The Subaru gods must have been watching over your 208. Sad to see it go but it's definitely been worth it. My NA Subaru Legacy has got 440xxxkms so hopefully it last another winter. Lol

I had a 99 Legacy wagon also single turbo converted. Got 220 thou km’s out of her & was a sad day when she finally blew 😢

The ultimate goal was a bp5 Legacy spec b wagon but i can't find one in the auctions that I like enough to bid on. I'm bidding on something interesting on Thursday though. Not subaru but still a wagon

Hey Brent, fellow gtb owner here. Considering doing a single turbo conversion somewhere down the road... Did you notice any differences in fuel consumption with the single turbo setup? Or even with the rwd setup? Love the wagon, you definitely influenced me in getting one myself.

@@Brentcallow I loved my legacy. I had a 2008 legacy gt that I totalled back in June. It saved my life, but man was that a hard goodbye. I can't wait to see what you get next though!
Amber Klaire I bet! Never nice to have a car go when it’s not on your own terms. the next daily will be something simple while I save for one of the coolest cars that subaru has ever made. It will be legal to import to Canada in August 2020 so I have about 1.5 years to save up. Hint: it’s a wagon 🤔

My 2003 L wagon has 415000 km (258000 mi) body in is almost perfect and I am just getting ready to do a ej20 5 speed swap. The onl ej25 runs great and is the original as well as the automatic transmission, but it is slow af lol. I have loved the legacy wagon since I was a kid, and I have 4 of them thru the years
@Aussie Shane auto is a single cam n/a awful thing lol, where as the ej205 is a dual cam single avcs turbo and the manual trans is just what I prefer. It is not going to be a big power racer, just my fun cruise wagon that might see a few track days a year.

I technically should say goodbye to my space toaster but I'm stubborn and my 2001 legacy will live again.
Ps. I let someone drive it and the hit a tree doing 30ish and it took more damage to the front then the engine and trans car is a southern vehicle and is 18 years old little rust and the paint wasn't faded was bright white was a base wagon but was still fun to drive

This video just makes me regret about getting a sedan. Once the 2015 is done paying off going the wagon route. Hopefully you stick with wagons. These new crossovers are poison to car enthusiasts now.
My new daily is probably going to be something quite simple for now just so that i am not tempted to modify it and I can focus on making the 240 into what I have visioned in my mind.

nope just shitty stock turbos
I ran through a lot of the factory ihi turbos in my time. I eventually went above and beyond them for my ej22t... The rhb5 turbo is a nice turbo for a stock car, won't hold a worked car. I needed more and went for more.
Just a turbo change pushed me from 220awhp to 450+ with ease
And that was before the stroker kit.

Best legacy was the first gen legacy(90-94) with a ej22t turbo, closed deck head with minimal work you can push well upward of 450awhp only manditory thing on the car is you want a 5speed gearbox, I still have my 93 car( 25th year anniversary model) with 6 spare parts cars all of which are manual except one, the one that isn't is actually a previous rally car that's a v8swap.
