When it was released, IS-6 had this super innocent and funny bug giving it two 300mm mantlet plates instead of two 150mm plates. Changing those two numbers was reaaally hard so it had that armor until sales tapered off after a month or two :) That is why everyone hated it, not the optics.
Story time: I still have PTSD from that damn IS 6. People used to call it the "bias 6". You would shoot the "weak point" on the cheek and it would maybe work 1 in 3 times. Then you start to question if it is in fact a weak point and try somewhere else and then die. There was no armor analysis back then and you also got fewer spawn points to start with each match. So you spawn your Tiger 2 and get sent back to the hanger after 10 seconds thanks to a P2W spawncamping IS 6. I actually quit the game for a while then. Phly's videos got me back into it though. I have one ok short story with the IS-6, when I got the vehicle a friend also bought it, the first game was a SIM match on Stalingrad. The Russian spawn was at the top of the map and the two of us immediately rushed the German spawn, we were engaged by two jagdtiger, 3 tigers H/Sla, 1 Ferdinand and 1 Kugelblitz. All German vehicle were destroyed by the two of us with a double ace. Old IS-6 OP AF

The tanks added today don't seem to create that effect IS-6 had.. again IDK because I play world war stuff mostly. Bias-6 is legendary. When I took out my T29, I was trembling before Is's might.

I played predominantly US tree around that time and didn't like going up against the IS-6. Then I phound the M46 Patton with HEAT shells. Ate through those upper glacis like a champ.
I’m not sure but I think the over pressure on the rbt-5 (bt-5 with the giant rocket ears) is pretty strong rn I think you should try it out. Taking it into top tier would be bonus points
I mean, when you introduce a tank that had a hidden 100mm plate behind the already existing 100mm plate plus optics that ABSORB a 128mm shell to the face, you're gonna have an OP tank straight up... glad it was balanced tho...
The luck you would need for a bomb to completely flip you upside down have a enemy come to your aid and then to top it off that enemy being Phly is sooo much luck!
The gun mantlet is still 200mm, there is a 50mm plate behind the 150 so it’s also spaced armor. You can see it if you try to peek between the mantlet and turret.
I have the brother of they tank, in World of tanks, the mithical obj 252U ( alias "Defender") they side armor are really indestructible, if the tank angulate it cannot be penetred
