    I have never seen a tone guard before and now I want one! Often when I'm practicing I'll angle it away from my belly just to hear that nice rich tone. Must have!!

    So would an instrument with an f hole be less louder than an o hole?

    Are there different pic's for the mandolin? or just any ole pic will do?

    I just got my first mandolin! I noticed that the bridge has been raised farther near the G string than the E. Is this typical, or do you have recommendations for a beginner?

      +Jonathan Sanders I've got a video coming out about checking this sort of thing, but not for a couple weeks. Here's a site that explains checking and adjusting intonation. If your instrument plays in tune, it's nothing to worry about:
