Being a business owner and a freelancer is I think the best option for traveling while working but wit this, you must pay for your own travel expenses.

Hi Tabitha, thank you for sharing your great and informative tips. I worked on private yachts sailing around the world for 25 years. Although you do mention the cruise ship industry, yachting is completely different. As opposed to working on the large ships that are more or less constantly on the move, we visit small ports worldwide and sit at anchor in some the most precious anchorages you can ever dream of. When there are no guests on board (the frequency of this varies from yacht to yacht and season to season), we usually work 8-5 during the week with weekends off. To the contrary, when guests are on board, work days can be up to 18 hours for weeks at a time , although 12-14 hours is the norm, more or less. This will depend on the guests and their requirements. The money is quite good with an entrance salary of about 2,500 Euros monthly plus tips, room and board. Working as yacht crew is NOT for everyone though. You live in close quarters with your colleagues, seasickness is not uncommon and as said, the hours can be very long. To work at sea, the minimum requirement is the 5-days STCW safety training, and a medical seafarer examination such as the ENG/1. Entry level positions include deckhands, stewardess and junior engineers, all of which need additional qualifications such as RYA Powerboat Level 1+2, Food & Hygiene Level 2 or AEC engine course. Chef positions are also available. I was a flight attendant for 23 years, and one important thing to know about this wonderful job is, depending on the country's laws, you may or not apply. In México, for example, only Mexicans can be crew members, so, if you're not Mexican, you wouldn't be able to fly in any airline.

@@TabithaLaker Thanks! Yeah, I'm working as a librarian to get my student loans forgiven. I do think of joining the Peace Corps or working at the airport. But I just need another four years of work to get my loans forgiven. I'm going to start French teacher certification courses. I hope that teaching makes me happy. I'm not always happy with my librarian job.
This might be a dumb question, but how much of the other languages do you need to know in order to be an international English teacher?
@@josephslattery8848 no, that's a good question. For France and Martinique, they required two semesters of French at university level. I guess that's about one to two years of French at the high school level. For South Korea, they didn't require that you know Korean.

Was so worked up with comp sports from a young age i never focused on what i actually wanted to do in the future. Currently 18 and graduated, trying to figure out what classes to take for up coming spring college season. Only thing i know is I've wanted to travel the world and things like learn more cultures other than mine. Definitely would be fun😭

I am a German baker that has been working in bakeries all around the world with knowledge you can work all around the world in the profession you have learned in and through that get a new window and experience and knowledge about a job you know and you make the money to continue to travel once you saved something

In this video I give some suggestions but you can always do more indepth research via google and find out about what it takes to become a cabin crew, or perhaps start a business, or even work on a ship. A good place to start is to find out what each job entails and what skills you will need to be able to do the job :)

No, a few families want a male Au Pair. Not that many, but there are some out there. Try to target families who have boy children. Also try different websites, don't stick to just 1.

You have to have a passion to teach and you have to love Children. In China if you are not competent within the first month, you get fired ! So I suggest people to do some sort of volunteer teaching work before they fly to China. Personality is also everything! You may be qualified but if you don’t know how to let go and get into character and excite children then they might get rid of you quick! Just some advice. I have been teaching in Asia for 2 years. And oh, a degree is required, and i advice that people should take time to get a TEFL certificate, it’s not that hard.Be beautiful on the day of the interview, in Asia appearance is taken seriously. Remember to smile 😀 till it hurts, you will get used to it. It’s not bad at all. Great opportunity and a very good pay 💰 and China specifically is a beautiful country, citizens are very friendly.

My Brother has been teaching English around the Middle East, Europe and Aisa from 1993 to present and he does not hold a College Degree. He was teaching English at Damasus University for several years from 1999 to 2011. That University gave him free House, Car, Food and Airfare to America and back to Syria. In fact, my brother met his East African wife in 1999 in Syria. "Sorry to report my brother wife Aisha she is late now as of March 20, 2018. I heard my brother say his next teaching job in Malaysia.

It really depends on the airlines requirements. First decide on the airline you want to work for and then look into their individual requirements.

Oh the pineapples are just wonderful!! I remember in Iceland, the fresh vegetables (especially leafy greens) would always go bad so fast..... even in the fridge.
We can grow everything here but we do not .-/. We have the heat from the ground, green electric but it is used for poluting big companys .-/

If your husband is prepared to support you with it, perhaps you could work short haul flights. That way you could come home every afteroon/night.
