I’ve recently bought a planner for 2024 as I love the concept of it all. We’re now in week 3 of January and I’ve done nothing but watch RUclipss on planner stickers and decorating etc but nothing has actually sunk into my brain!! I too have a planner binder disc “fetish” as I store my ephemera stuff in one!! I just love what you’re doing with your planner, it makes so much more sense to me, thanks so much for sharing, I shall definitely be following you on your journey!!😊

Thanks so much Cathy! I do use a planner as a planner too lol. Honestly with ADHD I use ALL THE THINGS and sometimes it works, other times not so much. As a lifelong papercrafter I just find I have tons of stuff, or can find ways to use stuff. I do tend to think outside the 'norm' sometimes 😝 so what's the issue with using the planner? For me it's the layout, I needed a weekly layout that worked for my brain. Once I found that (dashboard layout) it all clicked!

@@CreativeKarmaDesign I’m really hoping I can actually get “stuff” into my planner soon!! As my “darling” son says “I’ve got all the gear, just no idea”!! Blooming Brat!! 😂

I love this. Yes I would love a tutorial!! I’m doing OLW this year with Ali and I’ve been thinking of doing project life as well. But I’ve got the freeze in my head because I’m such a protectionist and I’m very fearful

Coming soon! It's pretty easy to set up in Canva so I'll work on that soon! I got you covered girlfriend!

Great idea with this format! I really like it 🤩 I do memory spreads just about every week and some weeks this would be perfect.
I've only been planning/journaling for 2.5 years, but it's sooo cool to look back and see progress. Especially with my handwriting. Now if i can figure out a way to spell everything right! 🤦‍♀️🤣
    Great video!

Yay! Thank you! Yes I'm just keeping it loose and easy, so most weeks will be one page, some will be more, heck I may even do a month to a page sometimes. Just taking it how it comes! Oh heck yeah re: spelling! My brain and fingers stop communicating lol!

This is so great!!! I’ve used The Happy planner for memory keeping and it just was a struggle. My OCD and the dates and 3 boxes was not working. I absolutely love that you are doing this. I cannot wait to see more. I’ve never used canva so that may be a challenge and how are you printing your photos?
Thank you so so much again for making this video 😊

Thanks for the kind words! Yep I can't use the vertical. My brain just doesn't like it for this type of project. I print at home, and will try and include a mini-tutorial on the canva side next time! Once you get used to canva it's pretty easy, like anything there is a learning curve but it's so simple. I'll be sharing every 2-3 weeks when I complete a spread.

After 2 years of wanting to do a memory planner I finally started one this year. This was very helpful ! I have not braved the 'canva' yet so if you could do a tutorial that would be great!! Can't wait to see more of this!!

Amazing memory keeping idea for us who struggle with weekly layout.. I am loving this but I have a small question. Could you please put a tutorial on the printing aspect from Canva? I tried making pages and printing but the sizing always changes from how I view in Canva.
Also, what glue are you using to stick the pictures? I made one memory planner in 2018 and as I turn the pages, all the pictures and cards I added are falling out.

    • @CreativeKarmaDesign
      @CreativeKarmaDesign  Год назад +1

Yes of course Angela! I'll work on that tutorial this week.
I'm using an adhesive tape runner to sticker the photos etc in.
Really your things are falling out? What adhesive did you use? I have scrapbooks from 2002 that are still adhered well.

Hi Cathy, roughly they are 2.4" x 3.3" I just filmed a canva tutorial about making this. Will post soon!
