Paleoclimatology is a very interesting field that has utilized the fields of climatology, geology, archeology, physics, astrophysics etc.
Its a field that requires more peer review from a wider array of scientists than most others.
It is a true slug to get published and verified, let alone the coordination and assistance of knowledge from so many.

I recently have looked upon a long-term chart which describes the temperature levels over the last 500 millions of years. And this also tells the story like we are 1) subject to a periodic heating and cooling cycle AND 2) that we are coming off an ice-age in fact, which means average temperature is increasing currently. Alone from the long-term average (and also telling it if averaged-out, levelled-out short-term retardances and irregularities in the timeflow. The schedule does not disappear and points into "warmer" period if climate lying in our future. However, the problem of our recent time is in fact : across the last decades, the average temperature has risen "somewhat" too quick compared to how it should have done normally.
North Dakota saw temperatures as high as 119F in the 1930's. It is not warming. The cool periods are becoming milder. The highs are not going up compared to normal.
What do we know what is normal from 2 million years ago? I understand the speculation aspect of science and theories. My problem is when these paid shill "scientists" go on life TV and publish papers speaking as of they have facts that we are the cause of climate change.
We might contribute 'slightly' and I mean negligible slightly but until I see our ozone for like they said it would be by 2019 back in the 90s. They can go climb a hill.

I'm 55 and an "edge case" gardener--I used to love boreal plants here in the US, and I was borderline for them. They're gone now, they've died of the heat.
The summer tropicals I replaced them with are nice, though.
I'm 43 and in my life I've forgotten a few things. Anyway like I was saying my dog Bonnie got out the other day and ran around running from us for an hour. Darn girl likes to play tag. Ok, now hear me out on this, I'm not a climate activist or anything, but i had a thought about oil and the other flammable substances, as well as how our planet itself needs it. We use it as a fuel source, and if we didn't, it would be recycled back into the earth through plate tectonics, right? If anything, the best argument for us to work on finding another source of energy is to keep our planets internal functions as normal as we can. It won't matter what we do to stabilize the climate if the planets heart stops beating. But i could be over thinking thing a bit. Either way, we could be doing a better job at taking care of our home regardless of whether we are facing a crisis or not, right?

More likely the ice age we are in will re-enter a major glaciation phase and sea levels will gradually drop as more water is turned into snow and ice for a 100,000 years.

I think it is really going to have drastic effects in the near future. Not just 100 years from now. I saw the first effects around 2009 when we received unprecedented ice storms during the early fall. Also, the soil has been so long in severe drought conditions it dosen't absorb rain water very well. It just sits on top of the grass or runs off. Invasive species are rapidly increasing too. Never seen any of this before. I think it is a big reason why young and middle age people are giving up on life and striving for success. It is mostly men though. Women wont be very far behind when all the stuff hits the fan. Sorry to say. Debbie downer. LOL
