One of my favorite shows ever. What a great cast, wonder why Roger Smith wasn't at this reunion. Don't forget the late Richard Long, who arrived for the 3rd season from Bourbon Street. Also the Frankie Ortega Trio, who played Dino's and usually had a musical number in the show. The first appearance of the wonderful Joanie Sommers, singing at Dino's,went on to make some great albums and sing for Pepsi. Just the right mix of action, comedy, romance, suspense, and comraderie. Wish Warner Bros would release the series on DVD. Efrem is right,Remington Steele is also a good show, and especially with Stefanie.
srmichel417 I have this vague memory of actor Rodger Smith contracting some serious illness.....maybe MS not sure......but I know he was sick for a long time
Great post! I enjoyed the many in joke references to other Warner Brother series of the time. And the crossovers with Hawaiian Eye and Surfside 6. "MeTV Plus" runs 77 Sunset Strip and Hawaiian Eye late Sunday nights. They hold up quite well. I like Dick Cavette but he was downright rude to Roger and his wife Ann Margret when they appeared on Dick's show along with Joe Nameth(who came off as an oaf) to promote their biker movie starring Nameth. Dick was dismissive and snobbish to all three. Roger took the high road but gave Dick a s--t eating smile that anyone with a lick of street smarts - that's not Cavette for sure - would have noted and dialed back his bad behavior. Maybe Cavette was having a bad day, I never saw him acting so rude for no reason on all the other episodes of his show.
