I'm a doctor working in Ireland - all of our dress codes say "small ear studs only" - I have an industrial, tragus, rook, conch, helix x2 and lobes x4, forward helix, and spiderbites. Masks hide the lip piercing (handy) and the rest I just ask for forgiveness, not permission! A few other docs and nurses in work have piercings too but I definitely have the most "out there" ones 😅
I teach in a high school and have multiple ear piercings, including non-lobe, and my septum. I go the "dainty jewelry" route. I have a hoop in my septum but it's small enough for most people to not even notice.
I teach at a high school. We only got the option to have nose piercings this year. I started with my septum, and then 2 weeks ago I had my right nostril and my right conch pierced. If my principal noticed, they did not say anything. My students, however, love them!
I'm a psychiatrist and have my conch, tragus, and nostril pierced. I also have multiple visible tattoos, including a half sleeve. I figure I wouldn't want to work for anyone who would judge me based on those things, so it's managed to work itself out for all involved. ;)
Omg I was also scared because I’m an incoming college freshman in psychology and I have piercings and plan to get more but I wanna be a psychiatrist and was scared I won’t get hired
Back when I worked at a dental office, to my surprise, I saw quite a few of the staff wear multiple ear piercings. I was taught in school that dental staff should only wear basic studs, but in reality it really depends on the individual office’s dress code. Some can be surprisingly lax to an extent. Just no dangly stuff. That’s pretty much the universal no go. I didn’t have facial piercings back then so I couldn’t test that rule.
I work in daycare (specially 1-2 yr olds) the main dress code is wear whatever as long as it’s clean, generally non offensive, and doesn’t interfere with toddler chasing. I’ve gotten a few dirty looks from older parents when I wear my larger nose hoop but generally that’s the only one that causes issues (not counting the time a child grabbed my shirt to reveal my navel piercing) and I’ve since taught the kids not to touch miss Shannon’s sparkles and haven’t had a problem since.
Literally got my conch done today as a professional. I have an industrial, lobe, proper orbital flat cartilage, rook and snug. It's no problem so far for me. Thanks for the content!
I’m a hairstylist. Tattoos and piercings are very common, but it depends on the salon. A spa type of salon will be more conservative while a salon that does more alternative hair colors and styles will be more “anything goes.” I have 4 lobe piercings on each side and 3 helix piercings. Since I work in a bit more conservative environment, they are acceptable. Other than some permanent makeup, I have no tattoos, but the barber who works part time in our salon has sleeves. It made some people raise eye brows at first, but they got used to it.
I’m changing my career path. I was in the tech/gaming industry and they literally do not care there. I’m currently in nursing school and man they do care. I have to wear long sleeves to cover my tattoos and hide my piercings. The funny thing is the hospitals don’t. I have been looking at internships and jobs I can do while in school and have had interviews and I do wear my hair down and cover my tattoos/remove all facial piercings, but I always ask and they literally do not care. Only issue I want to work in the OR and it’s hit and miss due to safety whether jewelry can be worn in the OR.
I teach sound engineering at a highly respected higher education institution, and produce music - they’ve always been incredibly welcoming :) the creative industry in general does ✨get it✨ though, which is awesome :)
I’m very fortunate that my job in Canada (government setting) has no issues with my ear bling. My personal taste is studs so perhaps that has been helpful. Either way I’m grateful for an environment that lets me be me.
I'm in healthcare IT and have been working from home, though I'll be going back to the office a day or two a week coming up. I've always been able to do whatever I wanted (dyed hair, tats, piercings, etc) at this job and I'm super fortunate and grateful. Some of my colleagues have stretched lobes, no issues. I currently have 7 piercings between my nose and ears and I'm just getting started. I'm also a fan of the dainty jewelry, mostly because I'm a smol one.
First of all I love your videos 🤗. I'm 46 and both my daughters (23 & 16) have a nostril, one has also a septum and the other a navel. Well I' ve been thinking of getting a nostril 😍. I just love the look (I have 3 tatoos btw but hidden mostly). I just don' t have the gutts 😂 to go for it. And just a little info for you - my daughter had a navel done but like yours incorrectly. The ball literally sank in the skin, puss and all...A real pain. Had to take it out. But now after 8 months she went again (to another piercer) and now it's 👌. Even though she had a scar (a big one) it looks great and did not hurt, the healing process is just amazing. So dear Gretchen, go for it 🤗
I’m in banking. We can’t have facial piercings so I use a horseshoe in my septum. As for ears the only thing I’ve seen is no gauges. They just changed policy before Covid that we can show small tattoos but no neck or face tattoos.
I’m an administrative assistant for a construction company. I love my job and love the company I work for. I always make sure they’re cool with piercings. I have double lobes on both ears, a daith on one, tragus on the other, and I have a new double helix on the one with the daith. About to get a conch and double possibly triple flat on the ear with the tragus. I also have a nose piercing. They don’t care as long as I keep racking in jobs and I keep the jewelry classy and the nose jewelry a dainty stud. I’m cool with it. Hoops don’t fit my nose well anyway.
I work in a call centre since a few months, customer service tasks. There is no dress code or rules on paper. Was hired with red/ fuchsia hair. First day i saw a girl with a palm size neck tattoo. There are a few with a nostril. And saw one girl with green hair. So it is ok, but I just feel like I have all those (colored hair, nose piercing, tattoos; working on my full sleeves), and the others only have one of those. Im gonna wear a shirt with little tattoo showing this week since it is getting warmer. But I don’t know if I should go wear my septum/get the nostril piercing. if it will maybe be too much at the same time. Im also beginning with stretching my lobes but love around 0g/00g so I will just wear nice plugs to work
Piercing is now accepted in many workplaces, except in some traditional industries where piercing and tattooing are not, good news for puncture lovers!
Engineer here, they don't care about any ear piercing, I have 11. Never had an issue. You can also get away with a nose ring. A lot of people in this type of Industry have tons of tattoos so they are not too strick.
I am a nursery teacher (I come from the Netherlands, that’s the best translation i could find) I work in a daycare. I only have earpiercings: 3 helix, daith, conch and 3 on both my lobes. When I worked on the babygroup there were comments from parents about if it was dangerous (when the baby’s hit it) and on the toddler group and after school care the children try to count them😂 but no remarks from coworkers or my boss.
Im a medical biller and receptionist at a small private office. There has never been a dress code and the manager new i had tattoos on my ankle and back. However i got a few tats on my arms and she freaked out even though i took it upon myself to wear long sleeves as i work at at a pediatrician office. She knew i had nostril piercing and was fine with it. But after she freaked out about the new tats i was concerned to get any.more facial piercings. Well covid happened and im required to wear a mask sooooo i got my philtrum pierced! So now i have double nostrils and septum which i already had and my philtrum. She never had issue with all my ear piercings except my stretched lobes unless i wear plugs... so no tunnels.... it is funny though to watch her eyes wonder to.my ears alot when i am talking to her!🤣 my boss seems to care less, im sure he would care if we werent required to wear a mask but what they cant see they dont know and cant care.
I'm an English teacher in Iran, I'm a man as well and i work in non-gover mental type of institutes, most of them are ok with my piercings, but sometimes they get at them so i have to hide my piercings at the moment or take some of them out...
🙋🏾♀️ I work in PR. Not sure if it’s okay yet.. I haven’t return to work from study leave and I have 2 new ear piercings (helix and mid helix) and thinking about a third (conch on the opposite ear).
I’m getting the bridge and nasallang before Pharm tech trainee classes are over cu I don’t want issues lol. After that, then I’ll focus on the more easily accepted ones like 3x upper helix, industrial, naval and the hip dermals for left & right hip. Idk if I want a septum tbh. Septum I was never crazy about bu I feel like it’d look good on me along with the other piercings I intend on getting. I wouldn’t consider myself a professional. I’m just an employee lol, and they’re accepting of piercings, you just can’t wear whatever you want like ripped jeans obvs etc. That’s if not all then most jobs then. I’ve worked at a warehouse before and not only were piercings unacceptable but also phones / watches / accessories like bracelets/ jewelry in general. At the time though I didn’t have piercings so it wasn’t an issue nor did I wear much jewelry at all, like ever. Just a watch but that’s nothing to stress over 😂
I'm on the more lenient side, I work at a gym. Started my job 2 years ago with the generic man fade, clean shaven, no piercings. Since then... My hair is now past my shoulders, I've got friendly mutton chops beard, my rook pierced, my lobes are stretched to a 4 gauge right now. I look nothing like my employee photo 😂 You're at a 1/2 inch? That's good to know, I like it. I should be okay shooting for that, none of management has said anything
I work at a toy store and have multiple ear piercings (5 x lobe, tragus, 3 x helix) at the moment as well as a belly button piercing. My boss is very lenient towards piercings - in fact I got two of them after starting to work there. I only should not wear any symbols that could irritate customers, but as I love dainty stuff that's no problem for me.
I’m an interior designer. Our boss is rather conservative but I find our clients don’t care and understand that in our profession it’s about that creative expression. The more staff we have that has piercings and tattoos, the more accepting our boss becomes so I hope one day she can shed her preconceived notions of it and be less restrictive. One other easy one to hide is the smiley as it’s fairly hidden and with the right jewelry can be very unrecognizable. One of our interns has that.
hi love your videos! question, what are ways to ear 'regular' earrings again after stretched lobes? I believe when I had guages I went to 0 and 00 and that was 10+ years ago, I want to wear studs but they droop down or can easily go through the hole and get lost, is there non-surgical ways to wear studs/earrings them again>?

At my last job, I went with the ask for forgiveness, not permission route, too! 😂
I’m an ER nurse with a nostril and septum piercing, and tattoos. 👋 I do wear a mask 24/7, so that helps.
I teach in a high school and have multiple ear piercings, including non-lobe, and my septum. I go the "dainty jewelry" route. I have a hoop in my septum but it's small enough for most people to not even notice.

Yes, having dainty, precious jewelry definitely gives that “professional” vibe. I like that look, so i went that way.
I'm a psychiatrist and have my conch, tragus, and nostril pierced. I also have multiple visible tattoos, including a half sleeve. I figure I wouldn't want to work for anyone who would judge me based on those things, so it's managed to work itself out for all involved. ;)

my dental tech who always sees me when i go talked to me about stretching her ears and the reason she wears big front earring now

I’m going to marketing. Not sure how they will feel, but I guess we will find out! 😂
im lucky im a 911 dispatcher. my job is super accepting of piercings and tattoos
I’m a cna in home health care I wear retainer in my nostril. Small jewelry in my Madonna and traditional ear rings in my ears
Im a backup machine operator. They don't mind piercing or tattoos. I have 7 piercings. 6 in my ear and one nostril.
I teach sound engineering at a highly respected higher education institution, and produce music - they’ve always been incredibly welcoming :) the creative industry in general does ✨get it✨ though, which is awesome :)

how did you get into that?
I work in a kennel and my boss doesn’t care as long as I’m not wearing hoops so the dogs don’t accidentally rip it out.

Well I've learned something new about you today you're the best ❤️❤️❤️
I like your plugs with the skulls. Where did you get them?
Online shop called Love Kills Boutique!
@@GeauxGretchen thank you ☺️

I see alot of guys wearing nostril piercings on the left nostril any meaning behind that?
I work in the mental health field, so they don't usually care about piercings and tattoos.
I work at McDonald's and mine doesn't have a problem with my piercings.
