  • Flucht von Novgorod (Curse of Novgorod) is a unique Gerstlauer Eurofighter at Hansa Park. This coaster combines theming and thrills into one complete package. And this is why I think it is the best Eurofighter out there!

I always love it when a ride actually has some kind of aftershow element when the ride proper is over--it's like they're going the extra mile to give you something they really don't have to. I've only really seen that at Disney parks.

The Stengel Dive in the 2nd part is just great!
The camelback is the best of every Gerstlauer.

Even compared to Lynet and Anubis, Novgorod’s launch is even punchier imo. That sudden kick is just crazy.
Sadly, Novgorod isn’t able to have lap bars, because the system for the lift and launch leave no space for the lap bar system.

I always heard that was the case. I wish there was a way for Gerstlauer to update their trains for future launch + lift Eurofighters.

@@CanobieCoaster Btw, the Eurofighters with a Launch AND a lift hill are called Kataplektor, its a companyown ride-type from Gerstlauer, much like the Infinity coaster model which is also a unique type of coasters by Gerstlauer.

I believe the Shellraiser/Takabisha layout is listed in the proposed Eurofighter layouts on Gerstlauer’s website though.

11:28 Unfortunately they removed this show scene for unkwown reasons. What a shame, but damn this ride was fun. I had people in my train which were caught off-guard by the launch, their reactions were truly amazing.

    Great review as always !
And thank you for clearing up the rename of the Coaster, I read the title and thought that I have been reading the name of the coaster wrong all these years. (And I am native German)
I have to get back to Hansa Park, I haven't been there since 2016.

It sort of feels like Hansa Park is to Gerstlauer while Europa Park is to Mack Rides if that makes sense. Not in the case that they own the park (which they don't) but because of how they have a lot more of their rides than other parks that I know of.

Hansa Park has 3 Gerstlauer Coasters + 1 Gerstlauer Skyfly
      Same goes for Tripsdrill...
So it looks like Hansa Park isnt the only testing facility for Gerstlauer xD

I rode the coaster last sunday for the first time and that small drop before the launch suprised me to the point that I closed my eyes for a splitt second.🤣
Which is even funnier since that small drop is where the onride photo gets taken, which I of course didn't buy because well...closed eyes.😂
Quick edit: I used the single rider line and for me it felt like I screwed myself over a bit and I don't mean only getting to sit in the last row, outer left seat, which still gave me a pretty good experience, but also the wait time felt a bit longer.

They already tried a coaster from them with Harley Quinn: Crazy Coaster at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and that failed but they instead decided to give them another try? Usually companies don't order more products from companies if they don't do well. The best examples would be Cedar Fair with Intamin, Six Flags with Gerstlauer and possibly even RMC with Herschend Entertainment. Although if I were Six Flags, I'd trust giving a second chance with Gerstlauer a lot more than I would with Skyline.

what’s the difference between an infinity coaster and a eurofighter?

    • @micoasters
      @micoasters Год назад +5

Infinity’s are taller and most have bigger cars like hangtime at knotts but some have smaller like monster at Adventureland. A euro fighter is smaller and can fit in smaller footprints like hydrs at casino pier

If it's not Lynet or Anubis as the best Gerstlauer than it's this, that launch is absolutely insane isn't it? As well as some wild drops it has. The launch is very unexpected in the dark abd the ride as a whole is over quick but so intense.
