Amazing how things have changed. I did this trek in 1981 with an Aussie friend I had met in London and then travelled extensively in India together. We headed to Nepal to gain some weight and to rest in Pokhara. After a month we decided to trek. There were no guides then and I think the trek was a few days longer. There were none of those bridges and we had to walk up and down each valley. I remember the town names but they were so small then....maybe one or two lodges along the way. The last lodge was called The Captains Lodge and then there was the Bamboo Hut which was literally a hut and we slept on the bamboo floor in our sleeping bags. There was an old guy who fed us Subdgie (nepal food). After that there was Hinko Cave which was a cave and then on to the Annapurna Sanctuary. There were no signs or lodges...we were the only Westerners there and slept on the snow in our tent. Amazing views.

i really do not understand why they prepare only 1 or 2 toilets for as much as 60/70 trekkers , throughout the ABC , almost in every T house . My wife and I faced much trouble in Lower Sinwa and Himalaya.... in 2016 Dear Ram please look into that matter. If possible
Yes, you are right, they don't have enough toilets but they are making more these days. Its all getting better and better. Next time, you won't face the same problem :)

In winter time there could be some difficulties due to weather and heavy snow higher in the mountains. I'm thinking spring 2020 now or maybe October 2020. I'm also considering trekking Tour de mount bland in Europe, GR20 in Corsica, and Alta Via 1 in Dolomites. There are all beautifully and unique

Olly Sagrott weather in September generally is great but you never know about the weather on the mountain. It freaks most of the time. September to December and March to May are considered as best months 😊

Sounds great. It won't be very cold in September and October. Its the best months for trekking in Nepal but remember this trek will be bit crowded in these months. Olly Sagrott weather in September generally is great but you never know about the weather on the mountain. It freaks most of the time. September to December and March to May are considered as best months 😊

Sounds great. It won't be very cold in September and October. Its the best months for trekking in Nepal but remember this trek will be bit crowded in these months.
